CD100 Rechargeable Bluetooth CD Player | 12hr Portable Playtime

The CD100 - rechargeable, portable, Bluetooth enabled -,is exactly what I needed. I use it with my wireless earbuds and have rediscovered my large collection of CDs. I realise that I had become lazy, streaming music on my smart speaker or on my iPhone. I don’t want to be bothered with replacing batteries, so the rechargeable device is ideal; and I dislike corded earphones. The unit is portable so I can use it anywhere in the house or garden. I dislike listening to music on commercial radio n, because of the intrusive advertising and mindless chatter from presenters. Even BBC Radio 3 is now becoming more like Classic FM. Listening to my large collection of CDs, both ‘classical’ music and jazz, is the perfect solution. The sound quality is excellent. The CD100 answers all my needs, I am very satisfied with my purchase Thank you.

I have only had this a day, but love the sound quality as well as the option to use either my own plug in on-ear headphones or my own on-ear bluetooth ones. I dont like any type of earbuds as my ears dont seem to like them (the CD player is supplied with ear buds if you do prefer these) - so I am really pleased on this point. Its also simple to use - and has a repeat song function, which I really like. The price of this is pretty good too! Also has a 3yr guarantee which i have just registered for. Designed in the UK too! This is not a bad little disc man for its price at around 39 quid. It has all the features you need, easy to set up and link to Bluetooth devices, though sometimes when you’re changing CD it does lose connection, not a game changer though. nicely built, nice and light to carry or drop in a bag. I bought it mainly for the Bluetooth connection, as headphones with this in the box are your basics, but at least they will get you going. Battery life not bad again for the price you wouldn’t expect much more. The only downside I really have with this product, and again this is probably down to the price point at 39 quid, is that when listening on headphones via Bluetooth and or through a Bluetooth speaker or speakers, between tracks, and if you pause the machine, you can hear the spinning motor for the disc, as clearly at this price point they haven’t used top quality internal parts, and obviously shielding isn’t very good, but, you can’t hear this over the music when playing so again, for 39 quid it’s a good little machine, but don’t expect quality at this price if you want quality sound, then you’ll have to pay quality prices! This is a good little starter machine, and is a convenient Bluetooth streaming CD device for taking you back into your memories to play your old physical hands-on CDs

Player arrived on time, and - I think - is a good price. I've already been using a Majority sound bar for a couple of years, so I was hopeful that this little player would be of similar quality. I haven't had it long enough to test it thoroughly, but have been able to pair it with my bluetooth ear buds quite easily. The sound quality is good, with several equaliser settings, and the volume goes very high with little or no distortion. The build quality is also good, and the player feels quite substantial without being "clunky". The player comes with a separate in-line control to use with wired ear buds if you wish (provided), a C-type usb cable, and a short auxiliary cable for connecting to other gadgets if bluetooth isn't an option. . I bought this item to play MP3 discs of vintage radio programmes as well as music CDs, and so far it plays both excellently. It also comes with a free 3 year warranty, which I'll be sure to apply for!

Great little CD player. Simple to use. Light and easy to carry as I use it to take to my dance class. This is the third one I’ve bought, first one lasted years, second one I dropped and damaged it , was happy to purchase the same one again. Sound quality is good Choice of sounds eh bass, classical etc.

I write this first sentence every time I buy anything made by Majority / Oakcastle: "Absolutely stunning for the price!" I have no idea how they develop these products so well and sell them so cheap. I have just bought a new car, and being a neanderthal, had no idea they no longer came with CD players, which annoyed me. So, I needed a solution. My last foray into the world of portable CD players was around 20 years ago so I wasn't expecting much. I saw this one from a brand that I trusted and added bonus of Bluetooth. On unboxing I was impressed at how cool it looked. As always with these brands, they come with every cable you will need. I charged it, played around with pairing different devices over Bluetooth, then tested it. The sound is unbelievable (and I'm an audiophile). I honestly wasn't expecting it to sound so good. The controls are all intuitive, but the most impressive thing (other than the sound) was that I could walk around with it with no interruption or disc skipping at all! To test properly,I took my dogs out for a walk whilst playing a CD. It did not lose Bluetooth connection or interrupt the playing at all. In summary, as usual, utterly gob smacked at how good this player is, regardless of price!

I bought this portable CD player for its Bluetooth connectivity, to listen to spoken word and music CDs at home. It connected easily to my Soundcore bluetooth speaker and Marathon bluetooth headphones, giving a sound quality which I found very impressive, considering its price. Even the supplied earbuds aren’t at all bad. It’s nicely designed, easy to use, seems to be well made, and the manual (which has to be downloaded from the Oakcastle website) is comprehensive and well-written. Overall, I’ve been very pleased with the player so far; having received it just today. My only reservations concern the Bluetooth functionality. You have to be fairly quick in changing CDs, otherwise it drops the bt connection, and it won’t automatically reconnect. You have to reset the speaker/headphones, and it then takes about a minute to re-establish a connection. The bt range isn’t as far as that of my laptop, so if I want to move around the house while listening it’s best to take the player with me. One feature of the device’s bluetooth – which was mentioned by another reviewer – is a low beat or flutter which can be heard during quiet passages or between tracks, and this may become annoying. The player itself is quiet, but the sound gets transmitted to the speaker/headphones over bt. It happens with any CD; but you don’t get it with a wired connection to the headphone socket.

Purtroppo ho dovuto restituirlo. Acquistato per essere collegato tramite bluetooth alla VW T-Cross, ma il bluetooth non è compatibile/riconosciuto dall'auto.

Super, très contente de mon achat. Il est petit, léger. Exactement ce que je cherchais. Très bon son. Je l'utilise à la maison, en voiture, pas de problème. Je recommande sans hésiter.

It works amazing! Especially for that price! It also gets VERY loud so be careful! Sadly it has a yellow ish hue to it, so it's not as clear as in the pictures, but that's okay. I also like how you can see the track and minutes on the screen! And yes, you can connect Bluetooth headphones. They explain how in the instructions. And it plays my self burned CDs too!
