A New Alphabet for Humanity Children’s Book: A Children's Book of Alphabet Words to Inspire Compassion, Kindness and Positivity

As a second grade teacher I am using this as a social emotional building block and vocabulary builder. My goal and hope is by year end the class will know by heart each word for each letter. I have recommended this book and have bought it for a number of baby shower gifts.

This is one of my favorite books to read to children, particularly to 4, 5,and 6 year olds but can also be read to younger children (as an assistant teacher, I particularly recommend it for older preschoolers/kindergarteners because the vocabulary featured in the book is particularly challenging for young children, but it is still an awesome book for little ones because of all of the awesome pictures and teaches the alphabet). I’ve given this book to people in the past as a gift for baby gifts, birthdays, and just because and it’s a really great gift for any occasion. Many of the previous reviewers have written about how the book says “x” for “exhale”. Even though I can confirm that this is what the book says, I also know that there are not a lot of words that begin with x and the word “exhale” really fits the theme of the book as opposed to using commonly used “x” words for children like “xylophone” or “x-ray”. I suggest either explaining to the child that the “e” in “exhale” is silent, or if you are giving it as a gift, underline the x in the word “exhale” so that the child knows that the word “exhale” does not start with x but has a x in it. The only minor complaint that I have is that the material that the front/back cover is made out of can get scratched up SUPER easily. It definitely isn’t the best front/back cover material for a children’s book so just be cautious about that, especially if you’re planning on giving it to someone as a gift.

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS BOOK! Not only great illustrations but teaches vocabulary and good morals.

The book itself is what I wanted but it was covered in something sticky all over the outside and some of the pages were stuck together with the same sticky stuff. Seemed like syrup or some kind of food. Cleaned it… not really pleased with the condition even after I cleaned it but I’m not going to do anything about it at this point. Wished there had been more respect in selling it.

Absolutely wonderful. I can't wait to share this with my students when we go back to school. I love the vocabulary used! Kids NEED this! And the illustrations are great examples that kids can understand and relate to. In the back of the book, there are great discussion questions and examples to use with your little ones. I might even focus on one letter per week next year and dive deeper into each one. Maybe students could illustrate their own example for each letter through the year and in the end, have their own alphabet for humanity book!

This book is incredibly beautiful 🌸 every household should have one 🙏 for the young and not so young. The teachings are just amazing 🙏💙

Purchased for daycare use.Children were really engaged and interested in learning the new words for the ABC process. We will be adding this book to our daily circle time. Excited to receive the FREE learning resources too.I was quite impressed with the quality of the book also I will be adding this to my gift giving list.

This book is a great and an important read for kids of all ages and backgrounds. I just received my copy, and immediately sent a copy each to 2 friends. And it will be next gifts to every friend with kids or with a classroom of kids for the foreseeable future. Love the language, ideas and message.

Loved the important messages this book conveys. It also includes suggestions on discussing topics like kindness, compassion and diversity with children. Makes a great gift.

We bought this book for our grandson. Not only did his mommy & daddy like the book, but his other grandparents wanted to know where they could get the book as well!Not just the usual 'A' is for apple. This book has very positive words and promotes positive thoughts.
