Very insightful!!
Written in a no nonsense style and gets straight to the point. I found myself saying "oh yeah, that's right!" And "aha" multiple times while reading the book. The title is true to its word and says it all.

Great read, both useful and entertaining
I think this is a great piece of nonfiction. It popularizes a number of psychological theories for why people often act against their best interest, and gives specific advice on how to resist knee-jerk reactions and maintain your self-control. I just wish it presented specific examples before the abstract theories behind them, and not the other way around (though it does illustrate a lot of the theories with examples).

Insightful and once you start reading, you won't want to stop.
The book was insightful! I couldn't put it down, until the last page. I was actually reading another book before this one. I decided to browse through it and the next thing I knew it, I was hooked or in the words of the author, I was "triggered" to read it until the end.

Insightful and Enjoyable
Psychological Triggers was a gem of a read and I'm happy I picked it up. It reminded me of Dan Ariely's work, but took it in a slightly different direction that was broader in context and applicability. In summary, this is certainly the type of book I enjoy, and I'm glad someone was able to get it right with such accuracy and insight.

skip to the chapter summaries
The book took a long time to get to the point; and read more like a beginners manual to basic operational / behavioral psychology

You have to read this!
This book is a really easy read! As recent graduate, I am definitely guilty of feeling and thinking like what the author explain is Psychological Triggers. It really got me thinking about all the times that I may have been a victim of psychological triggers, and if anything, this book gives me a really good insight onto how I can be more aware and catch psychological triggers. It's a must read for people who overthink a lot!

Fantastic
I love this book, psychological triggers broken down into simple terms with interesting and oftentimes shocking experiments referenced in order to punctuate the points. I definitely recommend this book.

Psychology - A glimpse at human behavior
This book attempt to explain why we do the things we do. What I like most about it is how clearly it's. The author explains theories and how they can predict behavior. For example, if you tell someone they can't do something, how likely are they to do it, just to prove you wrong?

Published by amazon
I would value this book at £3 (not the £10 I paid) given that it seems to be written by someone without credentials, and published by Amazon as opposed to an established publishing house.Good 'armchair psychology'.I probably wouldn't reference this book in an academic essay.Pros: The book is written in very conversational style. Easy to read.Relatively informativeCons: The author has 'two degrees in psychology' - where from it's not clear.Peppered with advice, but no real justifications.Neutral: Large print text and a small amount of text on each page - you can read it quickly but not what I was expecting.
