Fixed my cruise & braking issues
Bought this to replace my old switch on my 07 Avalanche, which was not disengaging fully (this affected my trailer brake controller in such a way that it wouldn't disengage without me slapping the brake pedal several times to force it to disengage). Also my cruise control wouldn't work because it thought my brake pedal was engaged . It took some twisting & discomfort on my old body, but after perhaps 45 minutes the new switch was in place and since then, all works perfectly. I would recommend.

You Need To Be A Contortionist to Install But An Inexpensive, Simple Fix for Failed Cruise Control
The cruise control stopped working on my 2008 GMC Sierra 3500 HD 4x4 diesel truck for no apparent reason. I searched the internet for possible causes after finding the cruise control fuse intact. I quickly found the possibility of a failed Brake Light Switch. Youtube has numerous videos of replacing units so I looked and found this product on Amazon for a DIY project. This Brake Light Switch came in a genuine ACDelco package (a sealed plastic bag with the following info printed on it: ACD#D1586H, GM#15861245). The removal of the old switch (located under the dash and up high on the brake pedal "stem") is simple in concept but pretty irksome in practice...my 10 mm bolt had been thread locked at the factory and the spring clip was tough to remove since there is very little room for sufficient leverage to easily pry it off with a screwdriver or grab with needle nose pliers. Once the bolt and clip are removed just undo the electrical connector and pull the switch off the assembly. Installation of the new switch is pretty much just reverse of removal of the failed unit. Of course you need good work area lighting and you need to contort yourself on the driver's side floor to get the right access under the dash and unimpeded view of the brake light switch assembly. It was all worth it once my cruise control came back on during the test drive.

Excelente compra
