Sharp, great length, no splintering

I saved some stiff foam packing - not styrofoam, but the other kind often used in packing fragile things. Mine came from a box with a mirror in it. Anyway, the foam is very sturdy and using these wooden skewers, I pierced the foam, slid it down near the end, did the same with another skewer, then added another strip of foam near the top. That makes up a hairpin lace frame. Quick and easy to make and I can create the hairpin lace frame as far apart or close together as I want for my lacey loops. An inexpensive way to make what I need!

I used these to make some valentine strawberry and cookie bouquets. They worked just like expected. I'm sure these would be good to use as skewers as well. They are thick and seem to be very sturdy. There was maybe only one out of the entire bag that was broken at the bottom- was still usable for what I was using them for. These would also be good to use for crafts as well so would be a great thing to have on hand.

I purchased 4 packs The Good Cook Bamboo Skewers to use not for cooking, but to add to my large pot plants as a barrier to prevent Chachalaca birds and kittens from scratching in the soil. I use about 5 skewers in a circle around each pot of Amaryllis bulbs.They are sharp and 12 inches long and critters don’t have enough room to damage my plants. Sduf

My husband and I did a date night in using these to build and they were perfect. Can't wait to use them when we cook next to make kabobs or skewer some veggies or chicken. He loves to put zucchini and squash on to cook.
