It is made from heavy terry cloth. Very well made. Quite luxurious, comfortable, and cozy. I've always wanted one and am so happy with it. It did shrink some after I washed it in cold water and put it through the dryer, but this wasn't a problem for me because I purchased a medium, which was pleasantly roomy. Now it's a little less roomy, but still wonderful. Hope it doesn't shrink anymore. Also, it left a huge amount of lint in my dryer lint trap. I'm 5'5". Before washing, the robe almost fully covered my ankles. After washing, my ankles are fully exposed. The material is high quality terri cloth, is like an extra thick towel, much much heavier than I expected, but so very cozy.. The medium fits me perfectly, Iā€™m 5ā€™t /140, fits is a little big so it wraps around me nicely and the length hits just below my knees. Same with my husbands size large/exp also fit his 6ā€™3ā€™ 200lbs, perfectly.
