I have used it for heating stuck nuts and bolts and it seems to work fine for that purpose. Have only used a handful of times so I cannot speak to the longevity but it seems to work great.

As a professional automotive technician, one of the many tools in my arsenal is a "Magnetic Induction Heater tool". I use it often as it is perfect for heating nuts and bolt up where an open flame torch is dangerous to surrounding parts. The coils for these tools are consumable and need to be replaced often. You can extend the life of your coil by not touching it directly to the piece you are heating up. The insulation will eventually burn if contacted directly to the red hot work piece.This Induction Innovations coil is very nice. I would say these are the premium brand of induction coils. The coil is pre-formed with a 3/4" round opening with a height of 3/4" as well. The entire piece is about 5" long. The fiberglass insulation is very durable and holds up better than some of the less expensive coils I've used. These will fit nearly any brand of hand held induction tool.Yes, the price of this coil is greater than others but I feel it is worth it for such a premium part. The materials it is constructed of will last twice as long as cheaper coils (in my opinion). Especially given the fact that this is a USA made piece, I give this Induction Innovations coil 5 stars.
