Overview:Skywriter Onboard Smoke SystemUtilizing an internal microprocessor, the Skywriter has an electronically controlled smoke rate (with a programmable radio). This allows you to adjust smoke rate during flight and/or slave it to your throttle servo. It features an ultrasonically welded direct drive pump head, and weighs less than 4 ounces. The pump can operate from any 4.8V to 12V battery (6V + recommended). The kit includes tubing, fittings, a double screen filter and check valve, everything needed except smoke tank and smoke muffler!

Identity Pressure port before installation.
Have had this pump for many years. On one occasion I plugged the battery in reverse polarity causing the pump to fail. Way out of warranty. Told the factory what I thought I did along with how much I enjoyed the pump. They repaired at no charge.Just bought another pump. Works great but I have one complaint. The pictured instructions show the smoke tank inlet (suction) side of the pump as well as the muffler (pressure) side of the pump REVERSED. The pictured instructions should be corrected. Otherwise a 5 star rating.

Issues, issues, issues
Ordered thus product last year but just now got a plane worth using it on. So far, between three attempts at setup, even with the check valve it won't hold prime. Ran a full flight... no smoke with this pump. Been a few weeks but last time it worked was on the ground testing after manual priming. Waste of money at this point. I didn't know of other brands so this was what I bought. But now I know. Gonna check into Powerbox setups now. Not sure what to do with this one since it's more than a year since I bought it.
