Love it.
Love this book. Not much to add to other positive reviews. The little quotes beneath some of the photos bring them to life beautifully. Not usually a fan of street portrait photography ( especially if the subject is aware of the photographer) but some of the characters photographed in this book are amazing.

Really good book
I've bought a lot of photo books by many of the "greats" and been a tad underwhelmed by most of them. This book, however, exceeded my expectations. There are some really great pic in this book. Well worth getting.

Awesome book
I love street photography and this is just that but at it's best. It's also one of the most inspiring books I have seen for a very long time. Brandon breaks every rule in the book when it comes to taking the photos (no thought to depth of field and certainly none whatsoever to the rules of thirds) but it really doesn't matter. This is more than just a book of photographs. Each one has it's own story and it's that, that makes it brilliant. I've followed 'Humans Of New York' on Facebook for ages and now that I have this book, it's like a 'Best Of'. At the end of the day, buy it.... You'll love it!

Faith in Humanity Restored - The Book
This made a fantastic gift for a friend as its a book that requires a minimal amount of commitment. You can simply pick it up, open it at any page and have a bit of a flick through... though you may then find yourself still stood by your bookshelf 2 hours later wondering what just happened. Its a beautifully simple concept, cataloging the stories of the inhabitants of one of the worlds most vibrant cities. It will leave you with a warm sense of appreciation for the perfection to be found in imperfection.

My favourite book - a must buy
I absolutely LOVE this book and so does all of my family, from my little brother to my grandparents. Some really inspiring and fascinating photos that make you feel great about the world. I have followed HONY on facebook for several months and I was not disappointed with this book. I have looked through it many times but I still pick it up often. Would make the perfect gift to just about anyone.

Vibrant Collection of Images - more stories needed
Lovely collection of vibrant photographs. It's enjoyable to dip in and out of the book to see the images in random order. I just wish that each photograph had come with it's own unique story, only some of the images have stories and others just a quick "Seen in..." comment which is a shame as I bought it for the enriching stories of the people in the photos. This does not ruin the book at all but it was a bit of a disappointment for me - otherwise it makes for a good "coffee table" book of a different size.

I found out about this book via Facebook. I have always liked people watching and have an interest in photography and this book is amazing. New York was the first destination I travelled to as a kid and it had a profound effect on me. I really do love NYC and this book is a slice of the big apple on my bookcase. I love it!

Superb, a wonderful companion to 'Crossing Paths'
Having followed Niall McDiarmid's amazing Crossing Paths project (search it out and buy his book today!) I was apprehensive about this one but shouldn't have been, it's wonderful. Each photo tells a story before you've read the snippet of text that goes with each. Happy to sad, funny to serious, life is all here. I smiled all the way through and read it in one sitting. Majestic stuff.
