this safe is the minimum that any gun owner should get.
I got this safe from Costco over a year ago. This is a good safe for the money; however, it is not the ultimate at all. It is decent to prevent basic attacks. Some good "professional", given enough time, will get through to the inside of this safe. Please note that this is a very light safe (in terms of gun safes). It is obviously heavy for any human to handle. But real gun safes are way over 1,000 lbs because of much thicker steel (gauge) that those heavy safes have. Some websites say this 6030EL is 10 gauge; however, Rhino support says that it is 11 gauge or 3mm. Lower gauge numbers mean thicker steel inside. I think that 11 gauge is the minimal protection that every gun owner needs to have. Do not buy anything thinner than 11 gauge (this means 12 gauge and above. The lower the gauge number, the better). Also, make sure that this safe is correctly bolted down to the floor; otherwise, it will be easier to break into the safe or simply to steal it. The bottom line is that this is a very good safe for the money (especially at Costco). This is a minimum protection that you need if you can't afford real vaults with much thicker gauge and that weigh way over 1,000 lbs. Features wise... Even though theoretically this safe could possibly contain 24 long guns, it is not practical. I hold about 6 long guns, some pistols, and some other expensive equipment in this safe... and it is cramped. Eventually, I see myself buying a huge and heavy ($3-$4K) vault down the road...
