Pretty decent quality
First, what I did to these to better understand why I feel the quality is really good. When you close the latches on these bins, they feel secure. I can't complain about that. I wanted a seriously airtight bin, though. The latches closed pretty easy and open pretty easy. I felt they should be a little more snug to be airtight. I added an extra strip of sticky 3/8"w x 3/16"h closed cell foam to the existing foam seal. The original foam seal is a very hard foam that I didn't feel could be air tight. The foam is the same type that those pool noodles are made out of. The sticky foam rarely ever sticks very long, so I sprayed the original seal with a couple coats of adhesive. I use Permatex heavy duty automotive headliner adhesive for everything like this. The latches are now pretty hard to close, but I know it is definitely air tight now. Since they are so hard to close and haven't broken, that is why I feel these bins are of good quality. The other reason is I was at Costco and got excited when I saw bigger bins that had a really nice silicone gasket that said they were rated, I think, IP68 and only cost $9 each. I put a lid on one and went to latch them. One latch closed. The second one broke off and took part of the side of the bin with it. I put it back on the shelf and noticed more pieces lying around, possibly from other people having the same issue. I only did one for practice and will not be using the same sticky foam again. It is just what I had on hand. I want to get some open cell foam instead because it compresses way more, so it should seal better than the stock seal, but not take up much more space. This should make the latches go back to their easier on/off. I need air tight because I am using the 16qt bins to store filament for my 3D printer. They fit 4-1kg rolls stacked 2 high on their sides.

Absolutely amazing
These storage bins are amazing. I needed something for me and my nephews to store our Magic cards in that was air tight and waterproof because we have crazy humidity here and our foils would curl if you left them out. The three pack was perfect for the amount of cards they have and for my most valuable cards. I just put some silica packets in the bins and now we don't have to worry about our cards getting destroyed. The bins themselves are very solid and the clamps are tight. Exactly what I was looking for and the price wasn't bad for 3 of them. If I need more waterproof, air tight containers in the future, I know what I'm ordering!

Great buy
Great idea. Perfect fit and the lids locks well and secure. It's sturdy, you can see through it, and it's lightweight.

Perfect storage.
I have a bunch of these and they hold up pretty well. They also stack even different sizes. For instance the 19 qt and the 16 qt. have the same footprint, the 19 is just taller. The 6.8 qt. is much smaller, but fits sideways on the 16/19's. Best of all they are airtight and the clamps are secure. there's a gasket around the rim. Perfect for the shed and critters can't get in. (Or mold) The weak point is the pins that the latches ride on. Of about 10 of these I had one go bad. The other three latches still sealed the lid tightly. I probably could put a pop rivet in, but so far it's okay. UPDATE: I ordered more since these are the best, but I have to reduce the rating to 4 star. I opened the box, and as I removed the first item, three of the latches fell off. Here's the design flaw. One side the pivot hole is open, while the other end of the latch has one end plugged. Why? No idea. But I used a drill bit to open the hole and the latch snapped right in.

They last for years in desert heat in a truck cab area.
Exactly what I wanted. Condition was excellent, all locking handles attached and working, no cracks or holes, unlike some others experience here. These are more expensive than some containers, but I needed the stacking match from 2 previous containers I use in my truck. The containers I have in my truck were labeled as Zip-lok, I think originally got from Target. A search here brought up these containers she looked exactly like what I have so I got them. I have had those for over 15 years, in my truck, in AZ desert heat the entire time, and they are still as of new! They last! I will fill them up with misc truck stuff and tools and essential is and ends. I placed them stacked two 11" and one 7" on top, in each year passenger foot well. I have a 2000 GMC sierra extended cab, and they fit perfectly with the rear seat folded, and the height comes flush with the top of the fold-up seat! The width will give me room to have my driver seat in my preferred pairings, and I'm 5'-10". Ordered 2 sets of 2, came in a huge side by side single box! Lol not very efficient, but worked.

Donโt be fooled - these donโt work like Ziplocโs
Unfortunately, these are terrible! I would definitely never buy them again. We have ones that look exactly the same with exactly the same measurements but are Ziploc brand, and they worked marvelously. Since we couldnโt find those again, we ordered these assuming they would be the same. However the handles donโt stay closed, so they definitely arenโt sealing right if the handles arenโt pushing down on the top let alone staying closed. Had I realized soon enough I definitely wouldโve returned them. Especially for the price, these are complete junk.

A good product
I've bought a lot of these Iris products over the years, and I agree the quality control has dropped. I didn't have any breakage on my most recent order, but some of the latches were separated from the lids. I believe over time, this may shorten the lifespan of the product, and I believe this was the result of packing and not the construction (only the top unit was affected). I'd still recommend the brand and product. If you're looking for storage bins, strongly consider the WeatherPro line.

The only storage tub I would get now
They're not perfect for all things, but they tick all the boxes for me. They're a good/useful size, they have nice flat tops and bottoms so they stack well, they have a seal around the lid (made of that "pool noodle" material), and 4 clips to hold the lid on. They're clear so that you can see what's in them (good if you have a few of them). The only downside is the kind of plastic, it can be brittle and break instead of bend, but that's just the nature of that kind of plastic -- which is the only reason (aside from size) why they might not be suitable for all purposes ... but for all the other reasons these are now the only storage tub I'm buying.

Perfect for keeping things you don't want air/moisture to get at
Love these for keeping towels and bedding in for the basement. While I did receive it damaged, the day I brought the box to purolator to return was the same day I received the replacement....very surprised at how quick it was. These are costly bins, and I see now there is another brand that sells the airtight bins at a lower cost so I might purchase those at another time

Garbage Totes. Donโt buy.
Donโt buy these totes! One arrived cracked and the rest quickly followed suit. Handles broke off.
