There's an old joke about being such a terrible cook, the food is so bad, I gave it to the Dog, and he started licking his butt to get the taste out of his mouth. Well that was me. For years, I've been trying to cook rice. It either boiled over and turned to mush, or tasted like soft rocks. Thanks to Amazon suggesting the Rapid Rice Cooker, I decided for that price, I'd give it a shot. "Fill rice to bottom line". "Fill water to top line." "Cook two minutes". "Stir, and cook one more minute". That's it. I'm telling you, the rice came out PERFECT! I poured two cups of vegetable stew over a serving of rice, and it was DELICIOUS! The product is compact, sturdy, light weight, affordable, and works exactly as advertised. Five stars!

It only cooks instant or minute rice just use a bowl.

Purchased this twice. Was back and forth between this and rice maker. I even purchased a rice maker and came back to this. My daughter eats rice every day and was buying the cups of rice from store. I needed something quick and easy just like that for her to do in between her college courses and work as well. She uses this every day with the minute white rice 3 mins in the microwave. We found using this with regular jasmine rice or other rice does not cook as quick and same. Would recommend to anyone looking for quick and better cost friendly way to cook rice if you are eating it frequently.

I have had issues with these. First of all the photo that shows the bowl full of cooked rice is false advertising. Because the way you fill these is very low to the bottoms and you end up with it maybe half full of cooked rice. And the timing isn't for all rice. But the advertisement and packaging do not make that clear. It will cook half a bowl of your minute white rice in three minutes. But that is how it will cook in other things without having to buy these "special" rapid rice cooker bowls. They are just black bowls. Yes you can cook your 3 minute rice in them. In 3 minutes. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Does exactly what they say it will. 3 minutes. I very good product. More then satisfied. I have even tried wild rice and it just takes a slight change in the amount of time required to nuke. I have to say more then impressed. Good work. The only thing is that it is only enough for one serving, which is fine by me, but may be a deal breaker for family orientated folks. Thanks you guys, what I was looking for.

This thing works pretty good with 2 exceptions. 1) the directions are stamped into the bowl which makes it difficult to read. 2) the directions it said made the rice a little chewy. We added a little more water and little more time to cook to make it perfect. FYI the Mac n cheese bowl from the same guy works awesome. A must if you have kids. Saves so much time.

Because this is how you get a mess in your microwave! Seriously, this is how you get a giant mess of flood water and starch in your microwave that will either take forever and two actual bath towels to clean up or will crust up and damage your beautiful microwave or your PoS microwave. These do not discriminate. There are several tutorials on the Internet that teach how to boil rice on a stove or even in a microwave. If you can’t do that, I’m sure you honestly can find a rice cooker at a yard sale or thrift store for $5 or some glassware with a lid for the same price at the same places. Also, I bought this in good faith it would work because I also own and love the Rapid Ramen Cooker. This, however, is a pile of plastic crap that will fill many a landfill.
