The Bride Instructional Manual: How to Survive and Possibly Even Enjoy the Biggest Day in Your Life (Owner's and Instruction Manual)

I had originally seen the groom version of this book at a small gift shop in Faneuil Hall in downtown Boston and I stayed in the store reading it long enough to get all sorts of nasty looks from the girl at the counter. Rather than pay the jacked-up tourist trap price to buy the book I came to Amazon and saved almost 75%. I decided to buy the bride book as well since I figured I should know what my lovely wife is dealing with (and what it says about her groom). This book (and the groom version) helped us greatly and the books are small and durable enough to be passed on to friends who recently got engaged. The best part is that they are a quick easy read and even though it says Bride manual it still contained helpful information from the groom.

I just recently got engaged and it seems as though everyone feels the need to give me all kinds of books to read, all of which are exactly the same! They skipped around so much! How is someone suppose to plan a wedding when the damn book skips around so much! Lol! Unlike all the others, I love this book because not only was it easy to read, it was very informative and it wasn't "heavy" like most wedding books! I found myself laughing out loud to some parts! I love all of the pictures! I def recommend this book to every bride!!

This wedding book has a lot of helpful advice for every step of planning your big day. The illustrations are cute and the information is easy to follow. I had to reread a couple of chapters to help me plan because there's a lot of info but the info proved very useful. For me, the best chapters were about bridesmaids, invitations, and bouquet styles.

I purchased two of these and two of the companion book "The Groom's Instruction Manual"; one set was for me and my fiance, and the other set was a gift for my newly engaged friends. I bought them just for the silliness, but once I got flipping through it I was surprised by how good the advice actually is. I would highly recommend both this one and "The Groom's Instruction Manual" for offering good advice with a heavy dose of humor. I mean, what couple stressing over a wedding couldn't use a little laughter to lighten it up?

This book is a must read for any bride who is at all unfamiliar with wedding planning. It goes step by step from engagement through the ceremony; it even sets a timeline for what tasks should be completed when. It seems like it would be a huge help for a short engagement period. Even though my engagement is a rather long one, this book has helped me do a ton of planning beforehand, taking a lot of stress off the table. The quirkiness and language sets it apart from other similar books I have seen. Can't wait to order the newlywed one!

This book is cute, but very very very very very vague. It's literally the wedding basics, and that's it. This book is a great starter book if you know literally nothing about weddings, but for me, it wasn't enough. I finished it in a day. Also, it has a bad habit of making you feel like you need to be a size 0 for your wedding to have the wedding of your dreams, and that's totally not at all true. I'm a size 8 and I plan on rocking my wedding dress! I'd suggest looking at other books before ultimately deciding on this one.

This was WAY more informative, in depth, and awesome than I thought it was going to be. I really does contain ACTUAL advice and usable information. I thought it was just going to be some neat but fun light hearted suggestions, but there is a TON of information in it. Gave it to my sister for their bridal shower. Huge hit! She's looking forward to reading it.

I bought this for my cousin as she was really nervous about the details of her wedding day and we had a good laugh at fist but she said she did read and use it. She liked it a lot!

Got this, with the Groom's version, for my friends after they announced their engagement. They absolutely loved them; he said they are funny, she said really helpful and both have got handy tips and advice they had never thought of.

Fun and informative guide. A great little gift for my future daughter-in-law.

Bought as a gag gift for a new fiancé and was thrilled to hear it is proving to be an invaluable tool. Also purchased The Grooms Instruction Manual as a companion gift. These will be my "go to" gifts for future couples.
