I absolutely love this fan! Not only is it crazy affordable, but it genuinely keeps my cool at night during the summer. The odd thing about my home is that the power tends to go out whenever multiple people in our floor are using the AC. However, because this fan doesn't suck up much power, it's quite safe to use, and generally, it's pretty quiet. If you raise the level higher (I tend to keep mine at the lowest level, and I find that cool enough), it gets very loud. In general, this fan is a well-made, affordable fan that will keep you comfortable during those long hot summer days and nights. It provides great airflow and is small enough to move from room to room, or even take it with you if you're a student in a dorm. I've already bought 4 of them and I keep some as extras in case my family ever needs it.

I bought the 14 inch 3 years ago to replace a vornado in a gaming room. The gaming room has always been extremely hot because of an old plasma TV, Playstation, and large windows on the afternoon sun. It's constantly on for all 3 years except to clean it. Very well built with no problems at all. On the highest level it's a pretty consistent white noise good for sleep. Even when it not pointed at you, the circulation power is strong enough to give you a cool breeze. The head fully rotates to to allow you adjust the angle. I recommend putting it on your vent or facing your doorway for max circulation to cooler parts of your house.

Good fan, lasted about 6 months of almost constantly being on (I need to keep my room cool for my medications, still didn’t keep my room as a whole below 75 Fahrenheit, but helped me sleep at night) before the motor gave out. Louder than I would have wished, but I don’t have much experience with fans to say whether it’s quieter than others.

This is a really good fan. It’s exactly 14 inches wide and it puts out enough air so that you can feel it blowing from over 10 feet away. The power cord is exactly 5ft 6 inches long and it has a two pronged plug at the end of it. The components are made out of thick yet pliable plastic so it should be able to survive a 4 foot fall onto hard concrete without any problem. The drive shaft appears to be made out of tool steel and it is about 1/4 inch in diameter. It’s not COMPLETELY silent but it is better than most. Perfect for a small or even a medium sized room. A good product !

I’ve been using this Amazon Basics air circulator fan for a while now at my desk and in the bedroom, and overall it does a solid job for the price. Good fan overall. It does make some noise, but it’s not disturbing at all — I can still sleep or work without any issues. The airflow is strong and it cools the room pretty well. Easy to set up and works as expected. Good value for the price.

I have had this fan for a couple years now and I literally have it running every day on my beside table at night for white noise to help me sleep. The sound is not loud and is enough to cancel out ambient noises so I can sleep. Yeah, I know it sounds crazy but when it is "too quiet" I can't sleep and any other sounds will snap me out of my sleep. The fan works well for moving air and does a reasonable job at helping keep the room from getting stuffy on a hot day. Don't look for it to move huge volumes of air, the fan is not designed for that. I have been impressed that during 2 Summers now when hot out, this fan runs 24hrs a day. When not hot outside, I run it at night for about 8hrs. That is a LOT of time for the bearings to run and they have performed excellent. It would be interesting to calculate the distance it would have travelled if you took the dimensions of the bearing hub and figure out how many inches of travel in one full 360 degree rotation of the hub. Then multiply by how many full rotations happen per second, then times 60 to equal a minute, then times 60 for an hour then times the average time it has run in a year! LOL...my point is, this little fan has likely spun for thousands of miles on those bearings in 2 years without overheating and it is still going strong! Pretty good for an inexpensive fan when you really think about the wear and durability!

Compré este ventilador para mi cuarto porque no quería gastar mucho y la verdad me sorprendió. Tiene 3 velocidades y en la más alta sí avienta bastante aire. No es nada ruidoso, en velocidad 1 y 2, ideal para dormir. El ensamble fue súper fácil, en 5 minutos ya estaba funcionando.

Lost a star due to Amazon customer service- the rep was really nice obviously things are out of his hands but my issue didn't get resolved. I have two of these because so good but unfortunately one of them had a weird burning smell and then stopped working. I changed the fuse, yes it has a fuse in the plug and to no avail. I've had it 3months and 4days and Amazon won't replace it because it is outdside of the window, I never wanted a refund just a replacement, I figured due to it being an electonic the warranty for a defective item should be enough but its not, such a shame. Have a fuse handy and be ready to discard if the replacing of a fuse doesn't work other than that when it works it's a great little fan
