What if my test changes color after 72 hours?

Any shade of blue/green within the 72 hour collection period is considered a positive. Any color change after 72 hours is considered invalid due to the media inside of the vial beginning to break itself down.

Which bacteria species are tested for?

Our Test Kit can detect over 50 species of coliform bacteria, including E. coli. To see the complete list of species, reference the product photos.

Is this test kit good for emergency preparedness?

Yes! Bacteria is one of the most immediate concerns after a disaster. Our Bacteria kit does not have an expiration date so it can be kept in an emergency kit for natural disasters like hurricanes and flooding.
