It is just simply a "great" book.

His Complete Genius in One Fine Volume
All the of T.S. Eliot you will ever need in one concise and perfectly-sized book at a great value. Incredible in his use and eclectic blending of language and imagery. From the immense brilliance of Prufrock, The Hollow Men, and Ash Wednesday, and of course perhaps the last great contribution to English -The Waste Land, an indescribable sea change to poetry, to the immeasurable depths of Four Quartets, the fanciful Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats, his plays, and many incomplete poems as well. Contains all the genius, but little annotation, therefore it may be best to also have supplemental materials to better appreciate these dense, often difficult essential works of 20th century literature.

The focus is on Eliot's work, and that's a good thing
This edition does indeed feature the complete poetical and theatrical works of T.S. Eliot. The poetry itself is in line with Eliot's reputation as one of the eminent modernist poet; sometimes tough but highly rewarding. If you are looking for an edition that will serve as a nice introduction to Eliot, this is not the one for you. There is no editorial presence in this, no notes or introductions to poems beyond the ones that Eliot sometimes provided. The book itself is pretty hefty as it must be to fit Eliot's work in, and as a result the thick book is filled with stiff but also fragile-feeling pages. All in all, it is an acceptable package.

Eliot Complet Poems & Plays Paperback a Huge Disappointment
POSITIVES: all the poems and plays are included, and it is a paperback, which is what I wanted for daily use, and abuse in NYC mass transit.NEGATVES: Many: •perfect binding (individual pages glued together), and hard unyielding pages; will be lucky if it lasts a year without all the pages falling out. Would have paid double if it had had stitched signatures. •Too thick and almost square; the whole point was to carry this thing around. It's so bulky it's unpleasant to even hold at home, without the bustle and shove of mass transit. •Type is heavy black and diffuse, no seemingly sharp edges, almost soft focus as if the ink bled on the page before drying, and the lines are too close to make reading pleasant. This is a thoughtless publisher (Faber & Faber) who must loathe readers, or making the book so disposable you'll have to keep buying copies.I understand paperbacks are meant to be disposable, but a bit more care would have been nice. To Faber & Faber: look to Vintage (Random House) paperbacks for how to get it right. Will now buy a second Amerucan hardcover copy from Harcourt Brace, rip off the hard covers, and glue on my own softcover.

T.S. ELIOT FOR ALL
Mr. Eliot never disappoints. More to the point, Faber and Faber Publishers never disappoint. This is easily the best book on all the poems and plays delivered by T. S. Eliot. Chronologically listed, one can see how his poetical growth developed as the years progressed. Probably, from the early 20s influence of Ezra Pound.Only one very minor negative. His poetry in French are provided without an English translation. Other than that minor barb, this is a book full of bloomed roses. If you are an Eliot fan, this is a must own!No analysis is provided in this collection. The only notes listed are those of T. S. Eliot at the end of "The Waste Land." If you have a quality Eliot Companion, you will be fine during your page-turning travels.

The perfect way to enjoy Eliot
Chances are if you're reading this, you already appreciate T.S. Eliot's work. If not, know that it is powerfully evocative on the first reading and continues to grow deeper each time you return to it. I was hesitant to purchase such a large paperback without seeing it first, but this is ended up being an excellent edition. The font is good, the margins are nicely spaced, and the paper and binding are sturdy.

Cats' whiskers!
We're talking about Eliot here. How one should review his work isn't a matter for mere mortals. So I won't pass on my verdict that he "isn't bad" or "shows promise". He's simply the finest English (well, American) poet to paint with and enhance our glorious language since that Elizabethan wordspinner who wrote all those plays about kings and queens, great Romans, star-crossed lovers and shrews requiring...well, I'd better not say nowadays. A lovely volume, tight, well maintained and well worth the price.

Comprehensive, but let down a little by the binding.
A comprehensive collection of T. S. Eliot's work. Note however that the print is slightly small, and the binding of the book is not really adequate for the 600 odd pages - after just an hours browsing the spine is already cracking. So, good to read, you might need your specs, and expect to have a 'well used' volume on your bookshelf!

Works of author complete
This book contains all the plays and poems of T.S. Eliot. Some of the works are quite complex to understand and some are written in Latin and French and some Greek. It would have been nice if the foreign language ones could have been translated in a separate chapter. A good set of explanatory notes would also have been useful. A highly interesting book for any student of the poets. An interesting read to make you think. Wish the foreign language poems were translated so they can be appreciated.

From hollow men to cats, they're all here.
Marvellous. Having all Thomas Stearns works in a collection is a joy. One knows where to look for any of his writings, instead of going through selections of his works, which are valuable, too, when travelling, but for a clear reference book this is the one.

T.S.Eliot, a genius
The genius T.S.Eliot wrote one of the greatest collection of poems, giving one a great deal to think about and consider about their very existence, he asks countless pertinent questions about the very complicated phenomenon called life, especially in the great works, The Waste Land and Four Quartets, they are just awesome.
