Grip Puppy

I was prepping for the Daytona Rally run last month and ordered these. The premise was that the extra cushioning would cut down numbness and such in the rider's hands. I broke my wrist when I was younger and my right throttle hand goes numb pretty quickly unfortunately. ANYTHING I can do to delay or prevent that is a plus. First trick was getting them on though. Read MANY "Here's how I did it" things. Did the hot water, tried the dish soap. What a pain in the "you know where." DO THE AIR COMPRESSOR METHOD. I fought and fought before I broke out the compressor thinking that it couldn't be that hard. It was. Pinched the end of the grip around the tip of the air gun, gave a little blast and it was about halfway on in a split second. Had to fidget with it a bit keeping the air blast in there enough to balloon it up to move on further. Still took some effort and fidgeting, but yeah, that was the absolute best way. It is tougher as you get it nearly on as it's almost impossible to pinch the end around the air gun nozzle. It will eventually get there though. Might have tried a longer needle tip to get further inside the nozzle. Don't HAVE one, but I bet that might be the trick. Did it work AFTER I got it on? Yes. My right hand often goes numb in just a few minutes without flexing it around. I have a feeling that the extra circumference on the grip as well as the cushioning was a huge improvement for me. Was able to ride pretty happily for much longer without having to shake out that hand. They're staying on! As well, as in the pics, I was able to add the throttle control back over the top of the grip. ALSO took a little fidgeting, but it's on, works great. SUPER HAPPY with my setup now.

Huge difference. I can barely feel the vibration on my hands at high rpms. I have them installed over my arlen ness grips. Perfect fit as far as diameter and length. No need to cut. Just used some waterless car wash spray and they went on easily. Twist and push in. Very comfortable and squishy enough to grip with no effort.

To clear any pre- buy questions about Big Paw Grip Puppy. Installed on 2019 Harley Davidson Limited. Limited has factory heated hand grips. Did not have to cut or trim. Fit perfectly. Used small amount of diluted dish soap, warmed grips on bike and grip puppy's with hair dryer. A little effort but went on without too much effort. I have regular hand size, palm width 9in. Reg- large. Thickness of controls comfortable. I always ride with finger less leather riding gloves, or full cover gloves when cooler riding. Heated grips work as designed. Will keep factory rubber grips from wearing out. Great product.

Installed over the stock grips on my '22 Heritage Classoc114. Seriously tight fit and enlarges the grip size. The material is comfortable. I have carpal tunnel and a cervical spine injury with residual radiculopathy post multiple surgeries. I haven't noticed much relief yet, but my circumstances are perhaps somewhat exceptional. They are comfortable and much easier on the grip. They are the right price and made well. You may want to trim the throttle side or at least be mindful of the possibility of creating resistance on the medial throttle housing. Once it is all the way on it is a booger to back it off. Overall I say they are worth a try.

Was looking for a solution to prolonged vibration at high rpms on the interstate, and though these appear to be simple solution they are very effective as well. Have had them on my bike for two long trips both close to or a little over 1000 miles each and these performed beautifully. No numbness, no slippage or affect on performance. The only struggle was getting them on. I opted not to cut them since they could extend the length of my stock grips (2018 Honda shadow Aero 750). it would be nice if they included instructions on the methods you could use to install them however youtube provides many possibilities from compressed air, to soapy water. The Foam is very durable. I was concerned about ripping it while trying to get it on but as long as you don't use any pointed objects, it can handle the pulling and tugging to get it over the grips. I used zip ties along the length as separators in-between the foam and the grip as I installed. You can cut these grips down to smaller size if you need to, but I would take my time so you have an even clean edge. If you have a need to remove them , it's very easy to just roll them back off the end of the grip, no damage done to the puppies or your grip. My cramp buster also fits over the foam grip no problem. Great product and does the job.

I absolutely love these grips, I change them every 6 months do to dirt and dust as I live in Arizona but besides that They are by far The Most Comfortable grips I've ever used . I love the larger diameter as I have big hands and the quality is very good as well.

Purchased for my 2021 BMW R18 First Edition. This has made a huge difference with the vibration of the boxer motor. I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

Grip Puppies are an easy way to increase comfort on stock motorcycle grips. I have large hands and at age 60+ my hands get cramped on stock grips. These fix that problem by adding some diameter. Installation is easy, use a 1-inch socket and an air compressor to "blow" the Puppy over the stock grips, then use a thin compressor nozzle (Harbor Freight or similar) to work it into place. No water, no soap, no hair spray.

The Grip Puppies are awesome!! Had to trim the length just a little to make them fit. A little bit of soap and water slides right on and the comfort is so nice. Have them on my 2007 Honda Reflex Scooter.

I was a little unsure about buying these, as I don't have large hands. However, they are REALLY good! Very comfortable and keep the contour of the original grips. Fitted to my BMW R1100S after the originals started to show signs of degradation. Pretty easy to install. Use plenty or water & soap solution. If your hands slip while trying to push them on (they will), use a clean dry cloth to help wrapped around the grips. Worked a treat.

These things worked way better than I expected. They don’t eliminate numb hands, but I can ride much farther in comfort.
