10 Moriaritys outta 10
If you grew up in this era, or well, post era, you will love these. These four episodes filled out my set of 14 movies from the UCLA remastering series. Play these on a nice HDTV and you will never see Basil Rathbone look or sound better. Blacks are deep black and whites are bright. I grew up watching these on cheesy old tube TVs, and today, they look spectacular. I'm 65, and if you fall into that category, you will go gaga for these Sherlock remastered versions. I would hope youngsters would watch, but not holding my breath with Black and white movies holding their attention spans and beating out iPhones and Candy Crush games. The price dropped by ten dollars and I jump after having this in my cart for two years. I patient that way.

Finally, Part 3
We waited for years for someone to restore these fine films, (the biggest money grosser of all "B" film series, I might add....)and now they are complete.....I have the first two sets and they are wonderful, although like others, I wish there had been more bonus materials...Now we await the final two films shot at Fox....actually the original two films, where Fox has placed the great detective and Watson in an apartment that looked more feminine than possible....But alas, where Universal got the apartment right, they never allowed Basil to wear the deer stalker that is now so much a part of the image of SH....a poor decision.....Actually, the only sad thing about the Rathbone series is that they never really used the Doyle mysteries, and that's a real shame.....Indeed, had Basil and Willie had Doyle, you never would have heard of Bret, whose had the master's original stories to work in, but never captured Holmes humanity.........

Oh, so happy
I finally completed my Basil Rathbone collection of Sherlock Holmes movies with this purchase. I had a copy on dvd of Pursuit to Algiers made from TCM/TV and had the other 3 on VHS. I was very happy of the quality on Dressed to Kill, Woman in Green andTerror by Night as the VHS copy were from a "Public Domain" producer and the dvds were SO MUCH BETTER. And of course I love to watch all of these movies and will many times over. I can recommend all of these movies both for their print copy and for the content, I always believed that Basil Rathbone was very talented actor, and all of the others are also. Stories typical Sherlock Holmes and for any new fan they will find them very fun to watch.

Film transfers are first rate.
Only twelve films in this Sherlock Holmes series from Universal but twelve only films. The transfers, (restored in 35 mm by the UCLA Film and Television Archive,) are first rate and the supplemental material is also interesting and informative. In short, for any one interested in the Basil Rathbone-Nigel Bruce theatrical editions of Holmes and Dr. Watson, (with stories updated to 1942 to 1946,) look no further.

Surely Sherlock Will Solve the Mystery!
Grew up watching these Basil Rathbone movies and loved them. So good to have them on DVD to watch when I want to.

DVD's great, case is cheezy
Restored versions of these great old movies are fantastic. The case is awful. Hard to get the dvds out, and if not broken when it arrives, the case soon will be. I'm so grateful for good versions of these movies but please package them better!

nice quality. the originals were long ago, but they had been made improved (as far as sounds, etc.)
I wish when the item was advertized, they would say what it contained, but it doesn't. Therefore, I didn't know 2 of the 4 selections were things I had already seen

We love the Sherlock Holmes films
We love the Sherlock Holmes films. We already have the first two volumes and I was thrilled to find the third volume. We love the old black and white films and the stories are very well done.

Super Restauration!
