Capoeira: Instruction & Demonstrations

One thing that I missed when ordering this is that it is entirely in Portuguese. This isn't really a problem, because the subtitles cover what you need to know; basically, if you have any sort of martial arts experience already you should have little trouble understanding this video.The style of Capoeira taught here is a mixture of various styles; it's not strictly one school or the other.The movements seem fairly clear, and the quality of the video very acceptable. I would recommend this to anyone beginning Capoeira who does not have a real-life teacher.

Enven if I chose to click English as subtitles it still came out French. Other than that the DVD is good.

The image did not fit on my tv screen. It was like watching a huge zoom in of knees and feet. Very distorted.

Firstly, I am by no means an expert on Capoeira but I was severely disappointed with this one.I am always wary of buying Capoeira DVDs that are entitled "Instructions and Demonstrations", and this DVD unfortunately lives up to my bad experiences. Fair enough I bought this for the chance to see some different games/styles being played but the little this had in it was pretty appaling and the rest of the DVD was a bit of a joke.The Mestre (if you can call him that), was not good at demonstrating any of the moves... the funniest part was when he plays a game and falls backwards on to his butt!-The fact that the students he chose (and himself) are wobbling about all over the place when they are attempting to demonstrate the small range of moves they have is hilarious.-When he demonstrates the instruments his students don't really seem to care about what they are doing.-He also makes a comment like 'he teaches all styles of Capoeira' (Angola and Regional) yet the only thing he seems to teache from Angola is a couple of feints.-Plus he fumbles saying "reco-reco". If I was creating a DVD to sell to the public, I would have a mistake like that deleted and re-done, which leads me to believe that this guy is just in it for the money.I could be completely wrong but pretty much everything in this DVD is in my opinion not up to scratch.For beginners who may not know what Capoeira is about might think all the acrobatics and fast kicks in this DVD is fun and exciting, hence making it a great DVD. Anyone who actually knows anything about Capoeira and is fed up of seeing the same acrobatics, jumps, flips and kicks will be utterly bored, and like me feel they have wasted their money.

If you are a student of capoeira and want to see things that would improve your technique, you are mislead.if you are advanced you won't benefit from this dvd either. Wase of money. I didn't like it and I am a student of capoeira for over 5 years. there is absolutely nothing you cannot see on web videos. The video is borring the technique shown on videos is rather... poor. Plus no option for dvd set up. It looks as home made production.

言語の切り替えで、英語とフランス語を選択できるはずですが、私の再生機ではできません。言葉が分からなくても、動きがていねいでゆっくりなので、問題ないです。準備運動から、2人組でどう組むのかや、攻撃やディフェンスのいろいろな型を１つずつ数人が演じてくれます。ジムのような場所での、実際の練習風景のようです。あわせて動いてみるもよし、鑑賞するもよし。

五歳と三歳のこどものために購入しました。なことばはわかりませんが、全く問題ありません。逆に雰囲気をダイレクトに感じとりそのまま体で表現できると思います。音楽もいいですし、レッスンも丁寧です。初心者の方にぜひお勧めです。

日本語ではないのですが、わかりやすく本当に購入して良かったです。
