After having an electric gate for 20 yrs wanted to go back to manual! Had the same back gate holder back in the day, of course found it here. Amazing quality, price, and functionality!

I bought this to use with our gate across our driveway. I was tired of always having to find a rock or piece of cinder block to hold the gate back and then getting my shoes scuffed while moving them out of the way. It works like a dream and I love it!

This is a solid product. A little on the expensive side, but works great. My only other complaint is that it I expected to clamp it on a 1-3/8" section of galvanized top rail, but the minimum is probably closer to 1-1/2". I rigged up something else until I pick up something at least that diameter.

This is like what you find on commercial chain link fences with large gates. I looked all over for one locally to no avail, finally, I came across this one here. I put it on a large pipe farm gate at the end of my driveway and it holds it perfectly. I wish I had done it many years ago. I just drove a piece of 1 1/2' galvanized tubing in the ground, threw a plug in the end and it's golden. This is very solidly made. A wee bit expensive but well worth it given the sturdiness and quality.

I've used these commercial at electrical substations. This brand works well on the farm gates on my property.
