I have been using this for a few months and I absolutely love it. I have tried several noise machines over the years and this is for sure my favorite. The size is comparable to all the other machines I've used, and the noise is just so nice. There's no looping or clicking or anything at all, just a really nice white noise that helps me fall asleep and stay asleep. I really like just being able to turn it to adjust the volume, that's pretty neat. The only thing I would change is the on/off button would be easy to just reach over and push with one hand, but I do kind of need to hold the machine steady with one hand and click the button with the other, otherwise it'd push around the table. I'm still giving it five stars though because it's not a big enough deal and I'm just so happy with this overall.

We've been sleeping with this for well over a year. It's great for drowning out noise from outside the house when you're trying to sleep. Zero complaints. It sounds like a fan, not like a audio recording of a fan, if you know what I mean. fyi, it's pretty handy if you set it up with a bluetooth outlet that connects with an app. Then you can control it from bed.

Ive gotten some of the best sleep cause of this machine, its the best! No screen and not complicated at all. I use it every night and i love it

Listen. It's great. I haven't found another noisemaker that works for me. I need it. I'm buying it for the third time in just over a year because the other two broke. The first one was actually my bad. I threw a flannel over it one night to try to muffle the sound without having to get up to adjust it, and when I woke up the thing was dead. So basically don't try to cover it with something. The second time was presumably because I ran it 24 hours a day for approximately 10 months. So. I guess maybe if you turn it off in the morning it might last you 2 or 3 years. Idk. 4 stars because I don't care if other products are worse I think we can make one that lasts longer than this 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ Sounds is adjustable, the lowest setting is not that low FYI but im happy with it. My mom turns hers to plenty louder than that. It's like a neutral windy sound, and it's mechanical not virtual which for me makes all the difference. I can't fall asleep to a recording.

This is surprisingly good. And it’s quite loud at max opening. Loud enough I can’t put it on my bedside table. Even 10 or so feet away, I can’t open it up fully it’s just too loud for my tastes. But I agree with others who say this is far superior to electronic white noise. This is a physical noise, masks other noises much better. I wouldn’t have guessed but this is quite good.

I bought this white noise machine to help me sleep better in our new home. My husband can sleep through anything, but I am an incredibly light sleeper and need background noise to rest. As you can see from my attached video, it sits perfectly on the nightstand, and I recorded a quick clip showing how the volume levels change when you twist the shell. Unlike cheap digital machines that play a repetitive loop, this one has a real fan inside so the sound is continuous and completely natural. It does a perfect job drowning out background noises so I can finally get a peaceful night's sleep.If you are a light sleeper who needs a real, mechanical sound machine to block out the world, this is the one to get.

I suffer from ottosclerosis, (where my otto folks at!? 🙋‍♀️) and have 30% hearing loss (not bad!) But the side effect of hearing loss is NOISE (ringing, beeping, and all sorts of sounds in my ears all the time made worse in quiet environments like at night when going to sleep), and the ottosclerosis causes sounds to be distorted. This is the best sound machine I have tried and I have tried so many! I had been using a fan for years, but the whine of the motor bothered me. I tried electronic sound machines and my weird ears can hear all sorts of distortion and under tones. I finally decided to try this dohm machine. Many reviews say they are too quiet, but I find it extremely LOUD! Maybe the difference is that I live in the country down a dirt road and I am trying to drown out the silence, not cover up sound. Anyway, I ended up putting it in my closet and cracking the door. It is the most perfect "wooshing" sound. No whine from the motor, no variation, just a constant whooshing. I had originally bought the dohm version with the 2 speeds, but the twistable shell part rattled and the switch sparked whenever I turned it on! I returned that one and got this most basic model with just the on/off switch and it is so perfect 🤌

Initially worked great, however after almost 1 year of using has started to overheat and started to give off a burning plastic smell. Can no longer use it as safety is now a concern. Wish this issue would not occur, will likely switch to a more expensive alternative brand in hopes that the machine will last longee.

Just as good as my old one. Bought this as a replacement for my 10+ year old Original version in which the fan was starting to rattle. I hope to enjoy this new one for many more years! It perfectly drowns out background noises and helps me to sleep soundly. I even travel with it and it's especially helpful in hotels!

THis is a simple white noise generator that uses a fan assembly inside. THis is a model that has been in production since 1962 and this company was the first to use this system. After buying and returning a Conair machine that uses looping I must say I am pleased with how this unit works. All it does is turn on and the fan starts turner internally and you adjust the noise generated by turning the top of the unit..simple and effective.... NO need for all the other digitized looping sounds that other machines produce along with extraneous noise.

Lo compramos 2 veces y uno funciono por 10 minutos y el otro por 1 mes. Contacte con el servicio a cliente porque realmente el tiempo que lo usamos nos encanto el producto y queríamos ver si había alguna alternativa. Muy amablemente nos explicaron que este producto NO FUNCIONA CON EL VOLTAJE EN MEXICO, y el motor se quema, así que hay que comprar el Dhom CLASSIC. Ellos me devolvieron mi dinero apesar de que ya había pasado mi periodo de gracia en amazon y pude comprar este nuevo modelo que es increible!
