Overall I am very pleased with the umbrellas (I ordered 3). High quality materials, easy assembly (although heavy!), responsive customer support and they look great. Very minor concerns with the longevity of the solar panel (one of the few plastic components) and the color of the cover (only tan). More details below. 1) Delivery was faster than expected (2 days), drivers messaged me via the app to arrange delivery, boxes arrived undamaged 2) Assembly was easy. I was able to assemble each umbrella myself in about 30 minutes. I am an average sized guy (5'9") and decently strong so I was able to lift and insert the umbrellas myself. I would recommend 2 people if you are smaller 3) Umbrella materials are great. Fabric is thick, pole aluminum is well designed and solid. I believe all of the moving parts are metal as well which is better than many umbrellas that have plastic caps. LED lights in the umbrellas ribs look really nice, more of a "neutral" color (3509k), not warm or bright white. I am concerned the solar panel (plastic) won't last more than a couple seasons though. 4) Opening/closing mechanism is very smooth. You do need to make sure to wiggle the arms a bit when opening initially to make sure they don't get a little stuck closed. I have also noticed that sometimes the corner arms can get caught on furniture when opening/closing so just be aware and move furniture and glasses out of the way. The 360 rotation is super smooth even my 3 and 5 year old kids can do it (I don't keep the bottom crank in place so they can't accidentally knock stuff over) 5) Cover is well designed, it has a foldable pole that you insert into the cover so you don't have to get on a chair or ladder to cover the umbrella. As other reviewers have said the cover is Tan colored (we ordered grey umbrellas). Not a big deal for me as I plan on only using the covers during bad weather or when we travel. 6) Customer support was very responsive. There were not enough grey umbrellas in stock on their website so they pointed me to Amazon. Response time was within 12 hours. 7) umbrellas bases (black water filled) are ordered separately. They are well made, no issues with leaking although I did get a hose stuck inside for a bit while filling and wasted a bit of water. Strong plastic smell from inside, but that goes away once you close it. Bases are big and I will probably find a way to build a table around it. I may end up putting bases into the ground. 8) We have had ~15 mph winds and the umbrellas barely moved. I will still lower them when winds are stronger, but it's a good sign

I purchased a 10’x13’ Navy Blue cantilever, with LED lighting and highly recommend Purple Leaf outdoor products to anyone looking for quality outdoor cantilevers or pergolas. Their customer service and support is stellar. Personally, I communicated with Kate at Purple Leaf and she was always very responsive and helpful. There was unfortunately small damage to an LED lighting bar upon receiving it and inspecting it. It was most likely a result of the shipping process. Kate made arrangements to send out a replacement rib with the light, without hesitation. FedEx was the carrier and they were slow, to say the least. It took 12 days from California to the NW burbs of Chicago. I think a horse and buggy would have done it quicker! We are extremely pleased with the rich color of navy blue. The umbrella weighs approximately 90 pounds and is pretty manageable for assembly to the base but having a 2nd person there makes life much easier to lift it, steady it and slide it on the post. It functions very easily. Simply slide the handle up to the top position, crank the umbrella open and raise and lower or tilt it to multiple positions quite easily. If you have the space, it even rotates 360°. You want to be attentive to the wind. I purchased the umbrella with the top vent, which is designed to lessen wind resistance but I could definitely see high winds damaging the large cantilevers. It’s quite a large span for higher wind speeds to grab ahold of. I also purchased the large Purple Leaf base with wheels. The cantilever is on my deck. The large base with wheels practically eliminates any risk of scratching my deck while moving it as needed. The base has a crank on it that retracts the wheels and it sits on a series of rubber grommets. It has four separate removable compartments with large openings for filling with sand. I added a gallon of RV antifreeze (more environmentally friendly and non corrosive to plastic) to each compartment along with sand. I got each compartment up to 72-73 pounds for a total of 288-292 pounds. The umbrella weighs approximately 90 pounds. That’s a total of nearly 400 pounds. It’s not going anywhere.

I couldn’t be happier with my Purple Leaf 9x12 foot umbrella. This thing is absolutely incredible. The amount of shade it creates is amazing, and it truly blocks out the heat, which has made a huge difference in how comfortable my backyard is—especially during the warmer parts of the day. I recently remodeled my backyard, and this umbrella completely elevated the space. It’s not just functional, it’s beautiful. I chose to have the base mounted directly into the concrete instead of using a stand, and that decision made it look even cleaner, more modern, and high-end. It feels like a resort-style setup now. The quality is outstanding. You can immediately tell this umbrella is extremely well made—from the materials to the construction, everything feels solid, durable, and built to last. On top of that, shipping was incredibly fast and the umbrella arrived well packaged and ready to go. I honestly couldn’t recommend Purple Leaf enough. If you’re looking for high-quality outdoor products that look great and perform even better, this is it. I would absolutely buy from them again and highly recommend their products to anyone looking to upgrade their outdoor space.

Have been researching lighted patio umbrellas for 3 years, and this year’s blazing Florida heat finally pushed me to buy so we could actually use our backyard with some shade. Went with the 9x12” Purple Leaf lighted umbrella and so glad I did! Awesome product, excellent customer service (they very politely texted and emailed me immediately after receiving my order to make sure I had ordered the correct stand to support it, and corrected it and issued a refund with no hassle), product safely arrived two days earlier than promised, and it was a breeze to set up the base and umbrella (two people or, one person and a ladder is what I’d suggest.) And - it’s lovely, well constructed, and very easy to erect and operate. Great product! I was concerned that it might shine a harsh glaring light, but quite the opposite: sheds a very, very subtle dim light that illuminates, but not bright enough to attract bugs, I think. If you’re looking for something that will light up your backyard, this is not it; but, you desire just enough light to see each other’s faces, where you placed your food/drink, and enjoy soft lit conversation, this is the one! Sharing pictures taken during the day, at dusk, and at night. Can’t say enough good things. Well worth the cost. Go for it!

overall I like this umbrella - looks good & it provides great shade, particularly when the sun is overhead. It lacks a little when it comes to early day/late day sun as tilting & maneuvering cantilever umbrella is not always easy. Once the base is filled, there is really not much opportunity to move it as it weighs 350 lbs. definitely need the base if there is any wind. Also, not sure why this model (12' umbrella) did not come with a COVER! the 10' model, which I also have, came with a cover & it fits perfectly. Unfortunately, the cover that I bought, which is supposed to fit 12'+ cantilevered umbrellas is too short to cover the entire umbrella fabric

The quality is what stands out. Very well constructed and sturdy. We are loving the lighting. It is the perfect softness without compromising the illumination. Would recommmed getting the Sunbrella Fabric. It is basically indestructible and ages well.

First of all, the umbrella is of excellent quality especially for the price. It is well made and highly functional, especially with the mobile base. But more importantly and of significantly greater value is the exceptional customer support I received from Alex and the Purple Leaf Team. I was solely at fault for leaving my brand new umbrella fully opened with only a half full base. A strong gust of wind tipped the umbrella over causing it to hit my fence resulting in cover material being torn and breaking one of the lighted ribs as well as the center disk supporting the umbrella frame. I figured I would need to buy a whole new umbrella but reached out to customer support to see what they recommended. To my surprise and delight, Alex responded promptly and informed me that he would provide replacement parts for every damaged part and he provided links to instructional videos that I could use to repair the umbrella myself and restore it to its original condition. Not only was Alex exceedingly helpful but the company has established itself as the gold standard for customer support in not charging me anything for the replacement parts. I am a highly satisfied customer and now a huge fan of Purple. I will recommend it’s well made products to everyone. You can’t go wrong investing in a best-in-class company that provides high quality products that it stands behind well in excess of 100%. Well done, Purple! And thank you, Alex. You rock!

I just received my patio Umbrella. The size is perfect and the ease to setup was easy. It looks beautiful in the space. The night lighting is awesome.

Wir haben den Schirm Mittwoch Abend bestellt und Freitag war er schon da. Auf gut Glück haben wir uns dazu den "Schneider Universal-Bodenanker, zum Eingraben" bestellt und sie passen zusammen! :) Der Schirm ist auch mit Bodenanker weiterhin um 360 Grad drehbar. Er macht einen sehr guten und stabilen ersten Eindruck. Er lässt sich leicht öffnen, schräg stellen und drehen. Die Kurbel zum Drehen machen wir nach dem Drehen aber ab, da er sich so leichtgängig dreht, dass das Eigengewicht der Kurbel ihn auch weiter drehen kann. Das ist aber kein Problem, da die Kurbel oben die gleiche wie unten ist und beide abnehmbar sind. So nutzen wir erstmal nur eine Kurbel und behalten die zweite auf Vorrat!

Hyper facile à installer, à utiliser, à ranger ! Produit de super qualité ! Je ne sais plus si la protection était vendu avec mais elle aussi est de super qualité ! Le module solaire est facile à installé ! Vu la météo nous n'avons pas encore essayé l'éclairage (mis à part pour "voir ce que cela faisait" et c'est jolie...) donc je ne sais pas si cela éclair suffisamment ! La toile est d'une très bonne qualité, on ressent un peu la chaleur dessous ! les manivelles permettent une manipulation aisée de l'ensemble ! Cet article est MAGNIFIQUE !
