Nice microwave, easy to use, no serious complanits but maybe a few improvments would be nice.
Got the 1.6 Cu.Ft version. I've read some other reviews that said the clock/timer display was hard to see, ours was very easy to see. There was one review that said the touch buttons were black on black, that's not true as they are a sort of silver'ish grey (like an aluminum color) on black and are easy to see if you are looking straight at them in a well lighted room. When you touch a button the actual touch point is very slightly up and to the left and not in the center of the button where its more intuitive to press. Plus it would be better if the silver'ish grey was white and not silver'ish grey, the 'wording/writing/numbers' for the buttons would stand out better if they were white. So my first suggestion for improvement is that the button press spot be in the center of the button where its more intuitive. However, this being said, its ok after you get used to it but I noticed my senior aged next door neighbor who came over to visit to look at the microwave because she wants to buy a new one, she tried to use it and it wasn't very intuitive for her slightly shaky hands not having a definite intuitive point to aim for. My second suggestion for improvement is that It would be nice if the controls panel buttons were lit. As it is right now even though the control button locations are visible in a well lighted room looking straight at them, in a more dimly lit room or are looking at them off axis (not straight on) they are not as easy to see to older eyes even though still visible if you look more closely and directly at them. Lighting them would help. Contrary to that implied/stated by the advertisement there is not a "one touch popcorn button as kitchen essential". To do popcorn without doing a timed cook by entering the cook time manually you use the 'Custom Cook' functions (page EN-25 - EN-26 in my manual in English). The one for popcorn is CC-6, you press the 'Auto Cook' button 6 times. But there is a problem with CC-6, and that is if you look at the manual you will see CC-6 is set up for 3.5 ounces of popcorn and this means if you use the 'mini bags' of popcorn which are about 1.5 ounces and use CC-6 that your popcorn is going to overcook and burn. For the 1.5 ounce 'mini bags' the cook time is 1 minute and 10 seconds and you need to set this manually and can't use a 'Custom Cook' function. I can't find a way to 'program' the 'Custom Cook' settings, and although I have not tried each of these settings with the items shown in the manual (or a comparable weight/portion of something else) to that shown, I suspect that anything outside of that manual listed 'weight/portion' would either over cook or under cook if a 'Custom Cook' setting was used. So my third suggestion for improvement is to allow a user defined 'Custom Cook' function to be programmed in and saved for recall later. Yes, I realize this thing costs ~150.00 + tax... so I don't expect 'super duper luxury' type improvements, and these suggestions I know would be ignored and maybe they could be viewed as sort of nit-pickey in some ways. But if you want a decent microwave this one works well and works as advertised except for that advertised "one touch popcorn button as kitchen essential" thing which does not exist.

Excellent product! Just what I needed!
This is the finest microwave I have ever owned. It is remarkably simple to operate and exceptionally easy to clean. The heating performance is excellent, and its aesthetic appeal in my kitchen is superb. It offers a variety of quick functions, and I particularly appreciate the child lock and warming cycle. No more turntable! If you're on the dence about it, just buy it....It's worth every penny!

Best microwave I've ever owned. Never going back to a turntable!
Best microwave I've ever owned. It's quiet. Heats well and fast. Easy to clean had it 3 months now. No complaints. I love how it keeps the fan running after to eliminate smells and condensation. Fits large and small dishes. If you're on the fence about a flatbed just do it. It reminds me of gas station and restaurant microwaves. Heats quickly and efficiently. Worth every penny. I did get the 3 yr warranty just in case. But so far no complaints.

Super easy to keep clean, easy to learn how to use, quiet when operating, and good results
Our 30 year old mid-sized GE microwave finally, abruptly stopped operating. Like many of us, we then studied..and studied..reconsidered and studied again...before deciding on this microwave. Dimensions were a major consideration, so there were only a few other options. And with upgrading, might as well aim for sensor technology and inverter.. But none of the brands (Toshiba, Panasonic, GE, LG) options were without substantial complaints so we opted for the maximum (4 year) Assurance Plan with this choice. Since using it for ~ week, we've been really amazed at how much time has been saved not trying to polish the stainless steel surface (as with old microwave)- this just doesn't show smudges/fingerprints anything like typical stainless steel), how super-quiet it is in operating, and the accuracy in cooking with the "autocook" feature. Veggies come out perfectly and we don't have to even think about how long to cook them. "Sensor Reheat" tends to over-heat for our preference, so we probably wont use this much. I'm also very glad for the "ECO' mode option here too (all appliances should offer this!). The instruction manual is good and overall, the learning curve has been easier than expected. We were also hesitant about a "flatbed", but among the pain-points of the old microwave was the rotating glass plate (either coming off the plastic base frame during operation or cleaning the ridges under the plate). After 30 years, rust was also setting in among the ridges in the microwave to allow for the plate. Now, so glad we chose a flatbed microwave- it means one major less hassle in cleaning. less likelihood and area for rust to develop and less of a source of noise. I give this 4 stars only because the door is the same loudness as ever in shutting and because of the extra lock on opening the door is hard to get used to, and makes me think the door connections may be the biggest future issue if anything fails. Overall, this microwave- especially for the black stainless steel (showing less fingerprints) and a flatbed microwave with Sensor technology (+/- inverter) has been a great choice for us.

Works Great !
Two weeks of ownership and we are happy so far. It heats food fast and even. When warming up leftovers, it does it evenly without having to turn or stir the food. Not a fan of the door lock (cannot disable) but its easy to use and once get used to it is second nature.

Very Silent and Does the Job Quite Well (1.3-cu.ft. Flatbed Microwave)
We purchased and received it only two days ago (10th July, 2026). Our First Impression is that it is "Very Silent" in operation. It is so silent that we really do not know whether it is running or not. It is heating food exactly as we expected a microwave to. We have no further demands there. The fact that it doesn't have a "turntable" hardly affects the heating. Buyers have complained that the "clock" doesn't keep on when not in use and the screen can become dark after some time. Honestly, we haven't noticed it so much. We have never really depended on the "Microwave Clock" to know the time. Therefore, we are still not sure whether it remains on or the screen becomes dark after some time to save power. It is just that we do not consider that a negative even if it is true. WRONG DIMENSIONS WARNING: I have one little objection and that is about the "dimensions" shown in the advertisement. In one of the pictures, it shows the "width" of the opening to be 13.82-inches but on measurement we found it to be no more than 13.25-inches. The opening "height" is shown as 9.84-inches but on measurement we found it to be no more than 9-inches. Therefore, WRONG DIMENSIONS have been shown. A difference of 0.6-inches in width and 0.8-inches in height of opening does make a lot of difference while inserting plates/utensils containing food or taking them out. People might be buying the item based on the dimensions shown, only to find that the window is not large enough for their purposes. I suggest that these dimensions be corrected in the advertisement. We are not returning the item for this alone because we feel that it still serves our purpose but it might not for other people. This is important. Overall, we feel that people can try this Flatbed Microwave out with confidence for its performance. Yes - we recommend this to others. NOTE: If it fails to perform in the future or its performance deteriorates in any way, we will try to update this review.

Great design
We have used this for a while now, and are very happy with it. We like the flatbed design. It provides a larger and easier to clean surface than the turntable design, although the heating is a bit less uniform that our old turntable model. The functions are easy to use, although the description of how to set the time is quite confusion, and probably incorrect. I also like the fact that the door is operated via a handle, rather than a push button.

Powerful microwave.
I have been using this microwave oven for a few months now and so far I'm pleased to say it has been working perfectly, the size(1.6 Cu.ft) is perfect for my family of three , smaller microwave generally do not heat up food as fast. What I think needs to be improved : A) The front panel is not very visible if the oven is place in a dark area , I placed mine on our kitchen counter that has plenty of ambient light so visibility it is not an issue for me. B) The pilot light is not as bright as I like but it does the job, a more powerful light would have been better. Overall if you have a bright kitchen and need a powerful and reliable microwave, I highly recommend this model without any hesitation.

Very big, but beautiful and functional
This microwave is enormous. My husband and I had a fight because the microwave wouldn't fit in its designated area, suspended over the counter. About 1cm of it is hanging out, but other than that, it is gorgeous, very potent (we have to put less time than regular microwaves, otherwise it boils), it is silent (you can completely turn off the sound, but even when it is on, it is just one short beep, which is great when you have a baby sleeping). It is beautiful, easy to use, and clean. Very much pleased with this product.

Very impressed with the quality of this microwave. It works very well, it's quiet, the door closes well, has good Sensor features, and is full size. And at a great price! Shipping was quick. It arrived in perfect condition due to well packaged design. I plan to buy other Toshiba products and would highly recommend this microwave and this Company. Thanks
