I love this style. But the price ??
Thick glass to signal when a pot is boiling. Very useful!! I didn't like the price, but this style is better than the alternative: a thin metal disk. The only time I don't use it when boiling water is when I'm using the whistling tea kettle. :-) I have ordered it again since my temporary homemakers seem to misplace it. Have since found it. Now I have 2!!!

Not Worth The Price.
After having glass boil watcher for 20 years, mine finally broke. I replaced it with this one. It broke after only using it twice. It was not dropped or mistreated. For the amount I paid it should have lasted much longer.

Ho conosciuto questo prodotto tramite mia suocera che lo usa esclusivamente per la preparazione di un dolce dove 2 litri li latte devono bollire e dimezzare con questo meraviglioso dischetto non solo fa prima diminuire ma il latte non attacca e soprattutto non monta

Très utile, on le met dans la casserole dans laquelle on fait bouillir du lait, ça fait de plus en plus de bruit lorsque l'ébullition augmente histoire de nous rappeler qu'on a quelque chose sur le feu. Et bien sûr, ça ne déborde pas, plus de surprise et plus de lait bouillant partout sur la plaque de cuisson.
