3M Quick and Easy Headlight Restoration Kit, Removes Light Yellowing in 15-Minutes, 39193, 1 Kit

I used this kit before a weekend trip when my headlights seemed dull. It quickly removed the yellow haze and was straightforward to use thanks to clear instructions. I was pleased with how quick and easy the process was, giving my car a fresher look in just a short time. Item as described, fast shipping, worked great if you follow the instructions, I didn't take before pics but they were yellow. I did a lot of sanding before my kit arrived plus what the instructions also give.

Finding this product was a pleasant surprise. It wiped away grime from my headlights in no time and made my lenses look much clearer. The paste-on pad works well when wet, helping to lift dirt efficiently. I appreciate how straightforward it was to use without hunting for extra tools or watching tutorials. For the price, it feels like a practical choice. I’m glad I tried it out and believe others will find it helpful too.

I was sceptical at first but this kit definitely works and is quick and easy as it states, the pad is impregnated with some sort of paste when wet and that is what brings off the grime, the clear coat gives the lenses the clear look. Hopefully it will last but we'll worth the money, no need to watch YouTube for complicated advice on how to clean your headlights, this kit is all you need you won't be disappointed.

Since I had to add to the kit I took off 2 starts. My lenses looked slightly scratched, not yellow at all, however the directions from the kit say that for the clear coat step to work correctly the lenses must be sanded to a uniform haze. There is no way the one little sanding disc in the kit will accomplish that so I had to use my own wet sandpaper: 800 and 1000, then the 3000 from the kit. This combination worked perfectly and after applying the coating from the kit the lenses turned out like new. I did like this method more than the kits that require a power tool because I had more control this way. 3M should market this as an "Annual Lens Maintenance Kit" or they should add two more abrasives to this kit.

I liked the price and the ease of use. The only thing you need is blue painters tape (easy and cheap at walmart or home depot). You can also use yellow masking tape (not preferred, but works). Pros: - Takes about 10 - 15 min. to do (including setting up tape outline) - Shows results pretty quick - If you need to do it again, just order *another pack. Cons: - Its a one time use per box. (May be a con for some) - Not for heavy heavy duty sun damage (the kind where you can't even see inside your headlight anymore) *This kit is so simple and easy that if I need to use it again, it is worth it to me. Buying a bottle and kit for repeated use is fine if you do this regularly like 3 - 4x a year. I do this maybe 1x a year per vehicle. A bottle with chemicals will cost you $30 - $60 and if you only have 1 - 3 vehicles you'll do them 1x a year. Anything more than that means you need new headlights. That bottle is meant to be used a couple dozen times and will be ruined with time and weathering. Those chemicals don't "last". They expire. Maybe they will last 1 year. It's only worth it if you do it for a job, other people, or multiple vehicles.

Okay, so I tried this 3M kit while working on my car before a road trip. i was surprised how quickly it cleared up the cloudy, yellowed headlights. just in about 15 minutes, my headlights looked noticeably clearer. it was a handy tool to have around and saved me a trip to the shop. really pleased with how easy it was to use and the results. 🚗

色々なヘッドライトクリーナーを使っても、すぐ黄ばむ。。 古い車なので、仕方ないか。と思いつつ、お試しで購入。 結論。凄い。 付属の3,000番やすりで磨いただけという手軽さもそうですが、 施工してから1か月経っても全然曇らない！ 2週間ごとに磨いていた今まではなんだったのか・・・と思う位。 これはリピート確定。 次施工するときは、2,500番とかもう少し丁寧に 下処理してみようかな。

Finally a product that works! Results are amazing and just as described in the ad. The kit has 3 items: 1 3000 grit sand paper and 2 towelettes soaked with special fast drying clear coat. Prior to sanding I throughly cleaned the surface with a soapy solution then wiping with alcohol. I used a 800 grit sand paper(not supplied) as my lens were very cloudy. After this step I then used the 3000 grit to wet sand before cleaning again with alcohol. Air dry with compressed air then wipe with a clean lint free paper towel. Applying the first clear coat in a dust free environment and waiting 15 minutes for the second coat. Results are worth the money spent. Time will tell on resistance of product. Recommended purchase.

I used wet sanding paper in grits 320, 600, 1000, 1200, 1500, 2000 and 2500. Only after that I used the 3000 grit and sealant from the box. And the results are very good, headlights looks like new.
