I wanted a rigid car mount for my iPad pro 11, something sturdy that wouldn't move around or drup/sag under the weight of my iPad. My searches on Amazon found the Arkon seat rail mount. The reviews were good so I gave it a try. The mount was very easy to install in my 2023 Toyota Camry, and was perfect fit. When installed I was able to position my iPad in the perfect spot for my needs. This mount has plenty of adjustability. The spring loaded clamps keep a good grip on my iPad without worry of it falling out. And best of all, no drupe or sag! All components are made of aluminum except for the clamp. It appears to be made of plastic or resin. I did find that due to it's length, the mount would "vibrate" or shake a little when driving on rough roads. To correct this, I positioned the mount so that it's middle adjustable "elbow" was supported by the center console of my car ( see picture). Overall I do recommend this mount.

Fits my galaxy tablet perfectly. Came with multiple attachment arms for different size units. Also has multiple mounting brackets for any application. Easy install, great for work. Can move it in a ton of spots and different configurations. Highly recommend it. Solid metal framing and nice adjustable knobs to make on the fly adjustments. Hold up to bumpy roads and offroad use.

I drive a Volvo XC 90 and do a lot of remote work and unfortunately the cockpit is sorely lacking in a surface to place a laptop or tablet when pulled over or parked trying to do a work task. So I looked at the full range of options available, and for my vehicle, the seat bolt mount was definitely the best option. This product seemed like about the best value in the category so I gave it a try. The actual tablet mount works better than it looks, it actually works really well and holds the iPad pretty well either by itself or with the keyboard attached by connecting directly to the keyboard. There is a little bit of wobbling/vibration if used while driving, but I don’t really see how that could be avoided with the nature of the product. The handles to tighten and loosen the joint bolts are very well designed with a spring mechanism that allows easy adjustment without looking, which is especially important for the bottom portion. I have not attempted anything heavier than the iPad Pro with keyboard, it does seem like that is pretty much the safe limit for the device. Based on the dimensions, you could probably cram a MacBook Air into it but I wouldn’t try a MacBook Pro. The ball joint that connects the actual accessory holder at the top is a standard size, I believe 20 mm which is very popular for different brands of mounting accessories, so if you do want to try it with a different device like a GPS unit or a camera, it should be trivial to swap those accessories. I am probably going to look for a head to mount my DJI vlog camera.

After experimenting with various styles of vehicular mounts for my Surface Pro 3, I've settled on this one. The build quality and nearly endless range of adjustment justify the price; it's definitely a case of "you get what you pay for". The only issue I've had with this product has nothing to do with the product itself; it was a real challenge to loosen a seat rail bolt in my Subaru Crosstrek, and I'm a strong enough dude. I wound up repeatedly smacking a socket wrench with a rubber mallet, which did the trick. A steel pipe slipped over the wrench's handle would've provided the necessary leverage, but I worked with what I had on hand. Hopefully I was able to safely tighten the bolt. Update - 8/17/2018: I sold my tablet some months ago, but discovered an alternative use for this mount that I'd been struggling to find another device to accommodate. By rotating the ledge flat-side up and removing two "fingers", I have an ergonomic shelf for my portable HF transceiver. I can bungee or belt the radio to the platform, butting the back panel against the fingers, which adjust to accommodate cabling. I was previously limited to operating the radio in its carrying case, with everything sitting on the passenger seat or passenger's lap. Inconvenient and unsafe while moving. Now I just unstrap the radio and pop it back in its bag when I reach my destination. This wouldn't work with a heavier radio, but it's a slick solution for portable rigs or anything with an external control head. Great when no purpose-built mounting kit exists and/or your cabin is as small as mine. And some bad news: I'm sad to report my mount suffered a catastrophic failure after very little use. I'm sure the problem had nothing to repurposing the device for a radio, and everything to do with me applying excessive torque to the adjustment lever for the joint between the two arms. It didn't take much force to strip the sleeve-like aluminum nut that threads onto the stainless bolt inset in the lower arm. I wish they'd used steel hardware across the board. I plan to contact Arkon about spare parts, but I'm reluctantly prepared to eat the cost of a replacement for this mostly excellent product that meets a unique requirement of mine.

For the money this was a great deal. it went in by loosening one bolt sliping the bracket in and tightening back up. I already expected that it was going to wobble around once the tablet was in it and yes it did. Again because i expected it; I had already planned out making a strut to support it better. A 6 dollar piece of aluminum angle iron from Lowes, a few minutes with a drill & file, add a spacer and a longer screw and its rock solid... Happy, happy, happy with this

This is a great product at the price. Works in my 2023 F150 which I couldn’t find any reviews specific to this truck. I took off the seat mount hole cover, loosened the seat bolt, slid the longest bracket under the seat base and cranked it down. Probably 30 minutes including unboxing the parts. I do have the largest iPad they make with an otter style rubber case and this fits it just fine. Hadn’t been able to find a bracket to hold the iPad with case until now. It’s not super bouncy in the truck. Not as bad as I thought it would be at least.

Worth the money, very sturdy and secure for my tablet in a jeep Cherokee, multiple styles to secure it to the passenger seat. Keeps everything stable going down the highway and easy to install

Works well! At first when I opened the box I thought for sure it would not fit my large iPad Pro and I purchased it because it said it would work. I added the arms that hold the device and thought again, there is no way the iPad Pro will ever fit. I then attempted to put the ipan in and was amazed that it was able to hold the iPad and it gripped it well. Like others have said already. There is a slight wiggle while driving and also the screw that holds the iPad section to the mount came loose on day one. I'll have to try their suggestions and see how that works out. I would definitely recommend this to others.

Voilà 3 ans que j'utilise ce support à tous les jours, et il fonctionne toujours, rien de casser. Je dois préciser que j'ai habitude d'y fixer ma tablette le matin, et de la retirer le soir après mon quart. Quand est-il lors d'une utilisation plus intensive nécessitant des retraits constant durant votre quart? Je crois qu'à la lumière de l'expérience de mon collègue, les ressorts lâches. Et impossible de commander uniquement la portion plastique du support de tablette, vous devrez commander un ensemble complet.

habe es auf einer längeren Autobahnstrecke für Podcasts/Navigation eingesetzt. Lehne den unteren Arm an der Beifahrersitzfläche an -> dämpft Vibrationen und steht stabil. Leider sind die Halter recht unpräzise gearbeitet. Foto: Halter von Unten. Die Bohrung des Haltes ist zu klein. Die dazugehörige Schraube passt nicht -> Ständerbohrmaschine und um 1mm aufgebohrt. Schraube ersetzen, geht nicht, ändert nichts an dem zu kleinen Loch. Weiteres Manko: nach Montage kann der Beifahrersitz nur noch entsprechend der Halterlänge (6cm) verstellt werden. Alles in allem, wenn ich alleine unterwegs bin, sehr hilfreich!
