Wonderful thick glass! Keeps the fire from blowing out!
This 26” flame guard is perfect for our fire table at the Washington coast. It has 5/16 inch thick glass which is thicker than most and feels more sturdy. It protects the flame so that it doesn’t blow out; and keeps the flame rising instead of blowing the flame sideways towards the people (and their wine glasses) sitting around the fire table. The price was great. One of the brackets that holds the glass segments together had the hole stripped so the screw kept falling out. I couldn’t find a way to connect with the company to get a new bracket and screws to replace the defective one; so I ordered another set of brackets and screws for a round 5/16 “ thick flame guard on Amazon. So now we have extras. Happy customer.”

System Failed
The glass panels do NOT form a circle. Difficult to assemble. On first use (about 30 minutes), the glass expanded and the silicon tipped screws failed to contain. The unit "popped' apart and surprised us. Totally worthless product.

Challenging to get it together right
Overall I am pleased with the product. It did not come with any instructions or tips on how to assemble it best...there is a trick to it, apparently. I had to search online and find instructions....which helped get it together properly and straight. Also, use a regular screw driver, not the one they send, I found it didn't get the screws tight enough to support moving it.

Provides wind guard for the propane flame.
Assembled upside down and placed the set screw near the edge of each glass and tighten snugly without over tightening. This allowed for more of circle in overall assembly. If glass is pushed toward the center of the brackets forces the glass into stressed circle which tends to open the gaps at each bracket, loosened brackets slide down the glass ends. Once I got the shield set I put together a heat guard (deflector) on legs 10 inches long to deflect the heat side wise instead of going straight up. Works great providing more warmth around the fire pit.

Rubber support nubs melt near a medium flame fire. Too weak hear resistance.
There are two aluminum brackets that hold together the four pieces of curved glass. The heat of a medium gas fire melted the rubber supports in the brackets and the bottoms ones melted onto the fireplace pavers while the uppers melted and slid down the glass till they rested on the lower brackets. Need a fire/heat proof rubber or similar material to help brackets hold the glass.

Just what the doctor ordered!
We are on a big lake, which makes it very windy. This wind guard solved the problem. East to assemble, good quality and a good price!

TERRIBLE Design.......horrible in assembly
Design and item manufacturing did not meet needs of the consumer. 4 quarter glass panels DID NOT FORM A CIRCLE!!!! these glass panels were not identical. The fasteners used at the joints were not curved for the task at hand...so class itself did fit the fasteners and were angled such that they should have an extremely limited life span....as it it were built for quick/fast destruction. Last, the fastening system of screws with silicone/plastic tipped surface was short of the mark. The silicone tips/coatings easily FELL OFF during assembly...further contributing to the frustration in assembly, poor quality and inconsistent quality in the final product assembly.

Works for me
I’m only jumping in here to help other people reading all these terrible reviews and wondering if it’s really that bad. I assembled mine a few drinks deep and had no issues, took maybe 20 minutes? It’s just a matter of following the instructions. Is it perfectly round? No, but you can’t tell at all when it’s on the actual fire pit. I recommend it, especially when it’s half the cost of all the other ones on the internet that look exactly the same.
