I totally understand the frustrations some other reviewers had. Because it is true, like others said, the only parts that are metal are the bolts. All other parts are "plastic-like" and feel cheap by touch. However, the only time when you can "feel" it is when you are installing it. Once it's up there, you don't need to climb up a ladder and feel it by touch any more. You just look at it. Oh my, doesn't it look nice and sparkling! From a near distance, it definitely looks sturdy and elegant. Make sure use the enclosed screws to fix the four corners. That's very important to make sure it won't fall apart. The bolts may be a little tricky sometimes, but make sure to do it right otherwise the wind and snow may cause damage. Other than that, we are pretty happy with the purchase. None of my neighbors thought it costed less than 100 bucks. Well worth it!

I did like the awning over my door. It is very stylish.The only thing I am concerned about is on the top corners the moisture is able to get inside the plastic top so hopefully it doesn’t get destroy doing so.

This was a struggle to fix to wall. it did not help that one of the bolts was too big so we had to run out and buy more from shop. it is quite flimsy but so far it has held up to very heavy rain. we have not put any sealant between awning and wall and no rain comes through the gap between plastic and wall i did not get in touch for replacement bolt because we had help to fit it and no time to wait. i suppose an easy mistake when package was put together it was the outside cylinder that was just a fraction big in that the hex bolt inside could not grab it when bolt was tightened. after 6 months or sadly plastic cover is collecting mold inside the plastic.

Looks simple and nice, light but sturdy once installed, and keeps the rain off and bright Texas sunshine from reflecting hard on our glass door. This awning is useful especially when you open the door and it's pouring outside. Easy to install with power drill bit and extra person to hold the awning up.

Waste of money. Cheap plastic awning. Got damaged after first hail. Would never buy again

I like these awnings because they are not expensive and assuming you have an unobstructed flat mounting surface, they aren't too hard to install. They work well and look pretty good too, for a few years anyway.After that the polycarbonate gets ugly because gradually the corrugations fill with water, then mold.Maybe sealing the edges with silicon before installing would help. The manufacturer should try that improvement and brag about it if it works.

I bought two of the awnings. Someone else assembled and installed them. They look great. We had rain and then some snow and they performed very well. In a year or two I can let you know how sturdy and durable they are. So far I'm very pleased and happy that I ordered them.
