AP Products 017-90892 Sikaflex-221, Aluminum Gray

I have a vintage Avion camper and bought this to caulk the seals and windows. My camper is anodized aluminum so I had to purchase the right sealant. Was not advised to use silicone caulk so I stumbled upon this Sikaflex sealant. I purchased smaller syringes to fill up and piped the sealant on the seams and around the windows with ease. Still have more sealing to do but very satisfied with this product.

Sikaflex 221 is a miracle product. If you want something glued down and sealed off simultaneously, and you want that thing to never move again, this is the stuff. If there is any chance that you may have to remove that thing some day, think twice! To say this stuff is hard to remove is a huge understatement. It is virtually impossible to cut with a knife, and the bond it forms with whatever you put it on is absolute. You are very likely to destroy things in the process of trying to remove Sikaflex 221. I have used this stuff to mount solar panels to vehicle roofs. Once cured, it's just as solid as if I had used screws. I have no doubt at all about its strength, and it is water tight. Years later, and I am not seeing any cracking or aging of the material. It's amazing.

a great caulk for RV's! easy to work with, and clean up. Drys fast and remains semi rubbery for good seal.

This is the recommended sealant for Airstreams. It seems to work well. A bit messy. I dries quickly so if you masking-tape the edges don't let it go too long before removing the tape. One of my unopened tubes had hardened before I could use it. Past the return window. Ce la vie.

Bought it for my box truck to seal the roof up. All i can say it worked great and there is no water coming in.

This stuff is amazing

Since I do not speak or read Spanish, I cannot tell if the tube says it is silver (gray) or whatever color. I ordered (in English) silver color but waited to open the tube until it was too late to return it. It came out black! Never had this issue before. I really need the gray but this is so expensive I’m going to have to paint over it. This is a great product if you get the right color!

I bought this product for my RV. The company I work for has used this item for years to seal and adhere metal panels in the HVAC industry with excellent results.
