HP LTO Ultrium Universal Cleaning Cartridge

Drive forces a monthly cleaning and locks out cleaning cartridges after they've been used a certain number of times (at least 50, though I don't keep track). I've used this HP-branded universal LTO cleaning cartridges for two months now with no issues whatsoever, and it says it is good for 50 cleanings, and I see no reason to doubt that claim. As this was the most affordable LTO cleaning cartridge I could find, I was pleased to see that it performs perfectly.

I bought this for an LTO-6 Tape Drive. I use it about once a week to keep the drive clean and working properly. Never had any issues. Very happy with my purchase and would recommend.

Timely delivery of the tapes was quite impressive. they worked fine as expected

these cartridges lasts us for a year of daily backups and we needed a new one. I started a trial of Amazon Prime with this order but found that it doesn't work with a lot of the items I need. I dropped the Prime, but received the cartridge quickly, and have no complaints. I would recommend this seller to others.

Problem with these is that they do not say in the documentation which ultriums they support. The one we received about a month ago works for Ultrium 3, 4, and 5 drives, but does not clean Ultrium 2 as advertised. Do not have Ultrium 6 or 7 drives so can't say there. Either Amazon's description is old or we received a one-off; I can't tell because nothing on the tape or labels indicate. For the record this is the first time I've seen compatibility issues with different gen drives when it comes to cleaning cartridges so I'm pretty nervous now about ordering in the future.

C'est une bande de nettoyage LTO qui fait ce qu'on lui demande, à savoir nettoyer les têtes de lecture. pour répondre à un commentaire négatif sur cette bande : c'est normal que la bande a une durée de vie car pour nettoyer les têtes de lecture, la bande se déroule jusqu'à arriver au bout du "rouleau". pour ma part, j'ai usé une bande LTO comme celle-ci au terme des 3 années d'utilisation en l'utilisant une fois tous les 15 jours.

I had once tried a cleaning tape by Quantum, and it seemed like it did it's process a little faster, but I can't say for sure. But this works fine, and the LTO drive removes the "C" indicator that goes on when it needs a cleaning. When there are file copying errors, the "C" indicator shows cleaning is required, and after cleaning, everything works fine.
