Great Deal - Pros and Cons
Excellent deal. Well, first off, let me state that I'm really happy with this sword. It's grip is comfortable, though I'd recommend tying and/or clipping the wrist strap at the end as it seems to untie itself rather quickly and just gets longer and longer. I personally chose to tie around the handle, but it's up to you. I was expecting a sword this length, but I recommend that you think of this as a short sword, and see the length on a ruler or the like. So now, after my babbling, here's the "Pros and Cons" Pros: 6 - Full Tang, just as said. - Very cool design. - Nice weight, but the COM (Center of Mass) is above the ricasso, not right by the handle. Of course, this can make sense for those users wishing to gain extra torque in their hacks and slices. - Extraordinarily sharp tip. Very good for stabbing, though I have not performed any backyard slicing tests. - Ok, this is one good thing about the sheath: Velcro clasp for the handle. This is perfect for those not used to back-slung mounting of a sword. It's easy to undo yet keeps the sword in place. - Comfortable handle. It may not be the MOST stylish handle, but it's nice and comfortable. Of course, test for the stability of the cord before going wild swinging it around... Cons: 2 - Sheath is floppy. This makes re-sheathing on the back quite the circus act unless using both hands. Of course, you can try affixing a black spray-paint plank of wood (Very thin) if needed. - If not put in correctly, the sword catches on the sheath and has potential to stab straight through. So, as you can see, the cons simply have to do with the sheath. And further, the pros far outweigh the cons. I'm really happy with my purchase, and would certainly recommend this to someone looking to spice up their sword collection for a good price. Good luck with your quest for a greater blade!

Completely Worth It
I bought this just to have it, and ive always been into weapons and such, so i decided that id delve into the world of fantasy swords! This was a big surprise for me! Pros: The sword is lighter than expected, and isnt hilt heavy, its actually balanced perfectly! Came sharpened and the serrated edges were sharp as well Black paint doesnt come off easily Very sturdy, doesnt flex too much Cordage can be rewound Cons: The sheath is absolute crap...i can guarantee you this. When you put the sword in, the tip tends to catch the inside stitching of the sheath causing it to tear. Not really quality but it doesnt matter. Whyd you ever want to cover it up anyways! Could use a little bit more sharpening Tightening of the cordage could be a good thing also Overall: This is a great product and at this price its a great buy as well! Nothing much like it, its cheap enough, yet sturdy enough to be used as a wall mount or for the occasional real life fruit ninja sessions you have with your friends. Either way id recommend youd buy it!

and in great condition. The nylon rope around the handle is ...
This sword came exactly as described. It's strong, clean, sharp, and in great condition. The nylon rope around the handle is nice and tight; it doesn't move around in my hands. It fits nicely into the sheath, and there is a security strap that velcros around the handle. While this is a great sword, it's not very practical for use. It's definitely a show piece. My only complaint is the tip protector broke during shipping. I contacted the seller for another but they said the tip protectors are not sold separately, they just put one on to protect the sword during shipping, which is fine because it certainly did its' job. However, I'm not going to put the sword in the sheath until I find a proper tip protector because I feel that the tip will poke through the sheath creating a hole. All in all, great sword for the money.

It's Okay... but Could Be Better!
I was pleased with this "Ninja" sword, but I must say that I wasn't thrilled. The overall design is very cool and I think it can serve practical purposes in self defense if you know how to use it properly. But...but, I must also say there are some things that I would like to be different. First off, the blade is not near sharp enough, I've never understood why people would sell a knife or a sword or some other blade weapon and it not be razor sharp. I mean I don't have to shave with the thing, but come on, I run this blade over my skin and nothing, not even a nick! So it's basically somebody taking my money and saying, HEY!, you sharpen it, we're too lazy. Also I have to say that I wish the blade was a little bit longer. It basically is the length of standard machete, which isn't a deal-breaker but I i thought it was going to be longer. The sheath is really basic, but i was pleased that the inside of the sheath was lined with a plastic, so the blade won't stab through it. So, I would recommend this item, but just make sure you know you won't be getting a sword that is sharp! And leaving on a good note about the blade, I can say that in using the sword in stabbing motion, it definitely would perform well. With it not being sharp, I was very happy that the tip was very slender and the point has a needle quality to it. It's not so small that it's brittle and will break, but it's small enough that It very well may pierce a light layer of clothing and will definitely pierce skin. Of course as a disclaimer I have to say that I do not condone nor suggest anyone using this sword as a weapon or tool used in harming another person. I mean besides an esthetic pleaser, it is a weapon that could have practical uses, but really don't slice yourself, another person or an animal with this. P.S. As a student of Ninpo Ninjutsu, I have to say that tacking on the word "ninja" to this sword is probably only best for marketing purposes. I mean as far as most Japanese "ninja" weapons go, I wouldn't really include this in that arsenal. But that is also kind of incorrect, because basically a practicioner of Ninjutsu, anything is a weapon. A pen, a straw, a rolled up newspaper or magazine. With Ninpo you never learn differently for different weapons, you just take the budo that you already know and just add a weapon to that. Which is how all martial arts should be taught, in my opinion.

About What I expected.
I ordered this product with almost zero expectations, so I wasn't disappointed with it. I got here in a timely manner and the sword was all right. I got it as filler for my table at the flea market. I needed some lower end stuff that looked cool for impulse purchasers. It seems sturdy, and the blade was oiled so that was good. there were no nicks or anything like that. It was not very sharp, but that could be fixed with some patience and a sharpener. the sheath for the blade stinks though. when the package got here the tip of the blade had ripped through the sheath and the box. (The postman was quick to point this out) The wrap around the handle looks cool, but I went ahead and removed it and rewrapped it with some 550 paracord. This added some color and looked a bit better while adding a bit of useful cordage to it. It seemed to do the trick. I turned around the very next weekend and sold it for a bit of a profit. All in all its not my cup of tea as it really serves no real life purpose for me, but the late teens, early twenties crowd eat it up. I think I will order a couple more and do the same with them. I would recommend taking some plastic from a milk jug and folding it in half and placing it in the bottom of the sheath so the tip doesn't poke through and stab someone in the leg or back.

Cool Machete Sword
I have a few different machete swords, but this one is my favorite. It looks really cool, is fairly durable, and comes sharp enough to do some work. The handle grip is thicker and softer than most other machete swords, and the way they weave the string/rope together is really nice. The sheath is ok, but the velcro straps, that hold the machete in place, are really weak and loose. There is a small chance the machete will slide out, if carried upside down. All in all, great blade for clearing trails or playing around with. I'm sure it could also slice a zombie's hand off, if it ever comes down to it.

Buyer BEWARE!
There is an old saying, "let the buyer beware", and this blade fits that description well. I know what you might be thinking, "Wow! a freaking NINJA sword for $15?!? Sign me up for one of those bad boys!" But stop and think... "A NINJA sword... For $15... Hmm... Something might be fishy." BudK knives are pretty decent quality for the price, typically, but this line is ill conceived with a flimsy blade that is easily bent and a sheath no tougher in make than the shirt on your back. It is sharp, but if you were looking for cutting power you would be better served with something more practical, like, say, a box cutter or a razor knife. Furthermore, though the package was received at precisely the time scheduled, the inner packaging was NOT professional quality. What I mean by that is that this knife looks like it was removed from the factory packaging before being placed in the Amazon.com shipping box, and then shoved back in without any concern at all for how it looked. The tape holding it together on the ripped-open end looked like it had been wrapped several times with tape to ham-handedly conceal the shoddy patch job. Finally, the blade of the sword actually arrived right out of the box with the bent tip of the sword jutting out of the side of the sheath. About an inch down from the point the sword was bent at a 45 degree angle and yet had been pushed into the sheath the rest of the way, slicing into it. A $2 machete out of the gardening section of your local hardware store would have more of a chance standing up to the kind of abuse an actual sword would experience. If you were to duel a person wielding a machete, theirs would chop your Secret Agent Tactical Ninja Sword in half and remain intact. As far as it's intimidation factor for "home protection", I am pretty sure the burglar of your home or the jacker of your car would get a hardy chuckle before shooting you in the face as you scramble to whip this out of the safety snap of its sheath and then slice your fingers off getting into a ready position. The reason they call it "dangerous" and "tactical" is that you are in danger the moment you touch it, and you would have to be capable of strategic strikes of ninja-level skill to not shatter it on a hard bit of wood or tough leather, much less metal or plastic of any kind. There is a reason why real blades are $2000. This product would not even make a good show piece.

For the price...
For the price its a pretty damned good machete. Some may complain "It's dull" or "The sheath sucks". Well certainly one did not buy this for the sheath. The blade does what you need it too. It cuts with enough force. If one finds themselves not cutting cardboard with it one may need to hit harder. sharpening a blade isn't hard either is it? Admittedly the handle bugs me somewhat. Consider replacing the cord wrapped handle with some duck tape. Be a tighter to the metal and won't come loose so much. After minimal use I found myself trying to tuck the cord back together which is rather vexating. Also, its light weight. The weight that is present is presented at a point of impact though so as to assist the cutting power of the blade (Just like a machete). If a task is needed to cut something to ribbons its also easy to strike little closer and use the serrated blade. Its got it's flaws, but for about 20$, it's hard to beat. Production cost for this is probably upwards of 50% so the company isn't making a lot of money off this product. Just a decent product.
