This Mixing Mate 10-091 Quart Size Paint Can Lid review contains 30 stars!
Here's how it went down. I connected this 32oz. quart can of White Rust-Oleum 7797502 Stops Rust paint to my brand new Mixing Mate 10-091 Quart Size paint mixer and mixed up the paint oh so easy. I"m sold on it! Incredible! I then poured this paint into this mason jar that screws on to the Critter Spray Gun. I then hooked it up to my DEWALT DWFP55130 Heavy Duty 200 PSI Quiet Trim Compressor with my inline TEKTON 4755 Oil/Water Separator filter I installed on the end of my spray gun. I then painted the back of my once rusted one ton utility bed and sides of my truck, which is no longer rusty, because I sprayed Skyco Ospho Surface Prep on it with a cheap old spray bottle. I sprayed my rusty diamond plate bed twice in 4 days and no sand paper or muscle was required! Just a broom and some air to get the loose dirt out of the bed before painting and it looks fine! You can tell the paint is a very good quality and I didn't have to thin it either. The mixing with the Mixing Mate was incredibly easy. What an invention! The compressor handled the job easily, not to mention it's the quietest compressor I've ever used! I'm also sold on Skyco Ospho Surface prep for removing metal rust. I didn't have to do any sanding either! The Tekton filter had a tablespoon of water inside of it after I was done painting. All I did was push the button and out came the water. I just reviewed the Critter Spray Gun, Rust-Oleum Stop Rust Paint, Mixing Mate for paint, DEWALT DWFP55130 Quiet air compressor, Skyco Ospho Surface Prep, and the TEKTON 4755 filter and everything did just what it was suppose to with quality and style! All 6 of them deserve five stars each! That's a 30 star review!

If you paint, you want this!
This is a fantastic product! I've only used it once so far, but that was worth the price alone. Goes on the can easily (just push down and rotate the levers). Spin the handle to mix, then pull the trigger to pour. Spout works like those syrup dispensers at pancake places, so releasing it cuts off the flow immediately. After painting, just unlock the levers, lift off, let it drip, then wash off. The can had no paint in the lid groove, so it sealed up again without any problems, and should open as easily as new next time. Not having paint drips down the side of the can will make reading the label later much easier too. Sure beats shaking the can and fighting drips and stuck lids!

Works a charm. Cleans a dream.
Why "sheerness" and "stretch" are rating items for this product, I have no idea.Like the HomeRite paint cups, criteria should be "Easy to Clean", "Durability", and "Works well".The Mixing Mate gets 5 stars on all counts.I left it sitting in a can of latex for a couple of months, thinking I would be using it.I didn't, and wanted to re-purpose it for stain. The question: How easy would it be too clean.I mean, it mixed the latex beautifully. And it was SO easy to pour, with zero mess. And after taking it off the can, the paint in the can was as fresh as with the normal lid.So 5 stars all around on usability. And whatever resin-type plastic they use, its STRONG.So 5 stars for durability. Now to the cleaning--AFTER letting it sit for a couple of months. The answer? ... Ta da! ....No problem whatever.Running hot water took off most everything.A denture brush took care of the rest.BEE-YOU-TEE-FUL.It took about 10 minutes.I now have a brand new Mixing Mate, ready for another use.

Perfect product and durable
Mixing automotive paint and pouring is now a dream come true, these make it so easy and effecient to keep everything as clean as possible. After using these for base coat, clear coat and reducer, I removed them from the cans and cleaned them for the next use rather than keep them in the cans. I haven't use for the 2K primer as yet as there was no need for primer in my last job but I am sure these will do a great job of mixing and pouring that as well.

Works great with wood turner's finish
I just reviewed the General Finishes Wood Turners Finish and mentioned this product in the review. My problem was I was buying the finish in small sizes for easy handling, but that's much less economical. Now I buy it in the quart size, and pop this onto the top. When my easily handled little bottle runs low, I turn the handle for a few minutes and then pull the trigger to open the mouth and let me pour from the quart can into the bottle. This gets me the best of both worlds.-1 star: The one thing I noticed when it came it was more plastic-y than I thought it would be (guess i didn't look close enough at the pictures). Not a problem in itself, but I did notice a small piece of chipped off plastic in the bottom of the box. Looking around it I found where it broke off of: part of the piece that clamps to the jar. It didn't affect the working, but it does give me a little cause for concern for the future. I was thinking I shouldn't have to replace this for years or more... we'll see. If the plastic chipped in shipping, I wonder how it will hold up long term. It lives on the jar, so I'm not taking it on and off a lot. So hopefully, that will extend it's life for a while.

Perfect for small items
Bought this to do mixes for small items with the HVLP sprayer. This thing is EXCELLENT, keeps what ever you mix in prime condition, no mess or clean up between coats. And when finished with water based products it cleans up real easy. Definitely recommend it.

Keep paint fresh and ready to use.
I saw this on a Youtube video and I had just started painting a kitchen with an HVLP sprayer - this is prefect if you are doing sprays over a period of time. The paint stays sealed and the stirrer is contained in the can. No chance of getting contaminates in the can. The paint is easily poured from the can and the lid snaps closed when released. It works for all paints and stains.
