38653 222 Purple Low Strength Thread Locker Tube - 6 ml

I wish I knew this product existed a couple of years ago. I have been using the blue Loctite on my RC cars and often times fine that the blue still has too much holding strength for small fasteners. This purple formula works absolutely perfect on M3 and M4 set screws that do not require a more permanent fastening solution That you often get from the blue or red. I find the purple Loctite product to be superior for my needs and I highly recommend it for anyone who works on RC cars or small hobby items that may frequently need to be disassembled repaired and reassembled. In one of my hobbies, blue, red, rocksett, are often suggested. After some research and reading, such strengths of threadlocker aren't always necessary or recommended. For smaller fasteners or those with finer threads, low strength is recommended. This is to avoid potentially stripping the fine threads or snapping the heads of small fasteners. So, when I was installing a red dot on a mount, I decided to use this. So far, after "a few" rounds, the optic is still firmly mounted and the zero hasn't shifted.

they say low strength but it works perfect for a lock washer type of grip. I used this stuff for years in the 70's. I'm using it again because of its inherent ability to work just right.

I use a lot of the Loctite 242 variant for various projects and thought I would get this variant for a 3D printer build I am doing. So far it's working great and I will purchase more. I was going to purchase a large bottle of this but it seems there are a lot of phony versions of this on Amazon in the large size, so I purchased the small size and it seems to be the real deal and seems to work like it's supposed to.

Purple is the only way to go. Great product

Low stress strength worked well on small engine project since I had to assemble/disassemble it many times.

Works great on sight threads, action cover plate screws and ejector button threads. I was glad to find it. Degrease the threads with alcohol before using. A S&W wheelgunner’s friend. I also used a very small amount on Ruger pins.

Bought this to use as spoke prep for a bicycle wheel build. This product is essentially bike spoke lubricant and is much cheaper than ParkTool spoke prep. It allows for screws to be adjusted while also reducing nuts from coming loose.

Genuine and quality product. Works as it should. Couldn’t find any loctite locally other than made in China ones. I’m glad Amazon stock this!
