First time owner of a decent Metal detector. Works great even though I need to put more time in to the activity.

Very happy with the Gold Bug Pro so far! Instructions are a lot easier to get started compared to my Garrett AT Gold. Very lite weight. I was disappointed after spending $800, there was no packaging to protect the detector and parts were lose inside the box. A bit expensive, by time you ship to Canada ! A good quality set of headphones and a Double DD coil supplied would be nice! But a great starter detector! Actually far easier to get started with than my Garret AT Gold. AT GOLD is great as well - both great units- highly recommend both. AT Gold is waterproof. I did upgrade the search coil to a 11" DETECH ULTIMATE coil and this coil works great for deep searching and covering more territory!

Have not used it yet. But it did not come with an armrest strap as is shown in the photos.

This thing is a GREAT Gold Detector! Iron soil readout, easy ground balance, super simple interface and sensitive(19khz). Aside for the added manual fine tuning of the ground balance on the pro it seems to be exactly the same(using a Side by side depth/sensitivity comparison). Shares coils with the f75 (Teknetics T2), GoldBug pro (Teknetics G2) and Teknetics greek series,..I can get by fine with using the auto ground balance just fine for the price(paid only 380! great sale day I suppose). Fast FREE shipping, clean, as expected.If you are over the Gold this thing WILL tell you. Still gotta know where to look! Thank you!

Still just a beginner I like to coin hunt at local parks in the play areas where the swing sets and slides are. The Gold Bug is an awesome coin shooter. Just set the detector to "all metal mode" and set the discrimination to 70 and it will reject almost all trash and only detect coins. I am still learning how to detect other items but coins are so easy. I stopped at a local park on the way to work this morning using the machine for the second time and in just over 1 hour this is my total haul = 14 dimes and 30 pennies, a tiny pin, a machine screw and a small piece of hardware. I also have a Garrett Pro Pinpointer that helped with quick recovery. After shooting 44 coins in 75 minutes as a noob I highly recommend the Gold Bug. While it is downplayed for finding coins I find the opposite to be true and here is the proof.

Cleary the item I was shipped was used. It was dirty, missing the arm strap and the battery was dead. It appears work, but I'm very disappointed that for this price it was not new.

My second year of having fun looking for gold and peace in Quebec. After many videos and reviews, I decided to get my first detector and choose the GoldBug Pro. I chose the GDP because of the ease of use and renowned for its gold-finding abilities, and its price was also a good point. I know about fake copies, but the fact that this item is sold by Amazon gives me confidence. Now, I can assure you that this is the REAL DEAL. The box is plain, and the packing is somewhat light. The detector pieces are tied up together with strong zip ties. Nothing was damaged. The box, even if relatively plain, has some important info about your detector; date of packaging, serial number (should be the same as inside the battery compartment) and provenance (“First Texas Products”, El Paso Texas ( Fisher Labs). So far in only few trips this detectors help me find some gold and also help me identified soil with high level of magnetite where I find good amount of alluvial placer Gold. Thank You Fisher.

This product is only use for mettle not for gold and it have problem to maintain ground balance this product is is 10 years old model
