Definitely carries much more current than thinner cables
I have a small 2200w generator. Prior to using this cable I was using 14 gauge cord and that could not power my espresso coffee machine. Generator would overload. I thought the generator just didn't have the power. But after using this cable, it can deliver reliable power over 50ft and can power the coffee machine no problem. The coffe machine probably pulls 1800 watts on its own. Definitely highly recommend buy this as your main cable from the generator into the house, then you can split for smaller appliances with thinner cables, but plug power hungry items directly to this cable. It is thick, but it bends easy. Looks very well made.

Not 20 amps!
This is false advertising, there is clearly a 15 amp breaker integrated in the receptacle end. Very disappointing!

Cord does not work.
I just had the first opportunity to use this new cord and the female end is bad - light is green but the cord does not provide power on closer inspection you can see the disconnected wire through the clear casing.

15amp not 20amp
Fraud. This has 5-20 plugs/sockets but has a 15amp breaker sealed in the outlet. It nuisance trips at 12-13amps. Otherwise seems well built.

15 amps not 20 amps
The overload protection inside the end of the cord clearly reads “15A” when the description states it can handle 20A.

Not 20 amps as stated.
This is a well built quality extension. However, if you look close at the outlet end, you'll see a little black button. It says 15 amps on it. This item is has a 15 amp breaker on it but the text says it's rated at 20 amps. Downgraded one star because of this error.
