Aircast Cryo/Cuff Cooler-Universal

My husband is currently healing from right shoulder surgery #5 (thanks D1 football in the 70s)! Between his knees & arms, he's the Bionic Man. A friend, also former D1 athlete, said my husband would thank me if I surprised him with this cuff. Well, it's Day #4 and hubby said he wishes he had this for his 10+ previous surgeries. Doesn't even need his heavy pain meds anymore. He thanks me constantly for the relief!! Yes, manual is a hassle but he appreciates the attention and it's no biggie! Super easy process. Buy it now.

I had a multiple issue complex ankle surgery involving 3 tendons and 2 bones. I had had some smaller surgeries prior and had swelling and significant pain for months/years after so I was really dreading it. Using this unit 20 minutes on and off all day for the 8 weeks I was non-weightbearing made a huge difference. My re-hab went great and my surgeon was stunned by the speed of my recovery. I also purchased the ankle attachment for this unit. It provided excellent pain relief and the compression reduced the swelling which made daily function so much better and more comfortable.

Total Scam! My 83-year-old mother just had knee replacement surgery. We have the one shown in the 1st and 3rd picture in the listing. Which is the 2nd and 3rd picture of this review. The little motor in the lid already failed after 7 days. The unit received is a joke. The first picture in the review! Nothing more than a $10 cooler with a hole and a hose. Reporting the seller as well! Very disappointing!

I love the fact that I can prepare this to be used in less than 10 minutes. Just fill the jug with water and ice, wait about 5 minutes (or less) for water to be chilled. Attach it to the cuff and it is ready to go. Once the cuff is full of water detach the hose and you can walk around if needed, but I recommend sitting with the injury properly elevated. After about 30 minutes you can drain the water back into the jug then refill the cuff and it is ready to go again. I have been able to use this for 4-5 hours with one ice preparation.

I bought this for my acl surgery. Initially had enough people to help me out if i ever needed it but ended up going through the entire thing on my own just because I could. The thing kept the water cold for 3-8 hours depending on how often I used it throughout the day, with non-zealous moderate use you should be able to keep it working 4-5h on a single ice load. Now months later I prefer my normal gel ice pack for a quick 15minute use after workouts or sports, but for surgeries and injuries that last days or weeks this thing is irreplaceable. Glad that i bought it.

Purchased this to help with recover after foot surgery. I can’t take pain meds due to them making me nauseous and this cryo system was the only thing able to give me relief. I am SO thankful for the cuff/boot attachment (bought separately). I would recommend this to anyone. I’m considering buying the other attachments just so I have them on hand!

I had rotator cuff surgery and purchased the shoulder add on. Because this is a gravity feed system, the only way to fill the shoulder cooling pack filled is to get the ice bucket above your shoulder. And you must close the air release valve before lowering it or the ice water will drain out. My technique was to open the air release valve, lift the ice bucket with my good arm (left) and balance the bucket on my head. Once the shoulder ice water pouch is full, I close the air release valve with 1 finger. Once the air valve is closed, I lower the bucket and disconnect the hose.

I love this so much. It keeps ice water cold for a really long time and that helps reduces swelling and pain. It’s simple to operate because it’s a simple gravity system. I was given a fancy electric circulator system at the hospital but it didn’t help nearly as much.

A great product and a great company. I received an electrical cord that wasn’t for Uk sockets. I contacted them and a new cord was sent out and received within 2 days I bought the cuff and cooler after borrowing my brothers and realising the difference it made to my knees.
