Great Resource for Finding Davis Ancestors
It is unbelievable that someone in 1927 could amass this amount of information! In much of it he references the sources of the data. It took a while to understand how the material was organized. But once I discovered the key, I was able to answer certain questions that I had on my Davis line which in fact took me directly to Morgan David Davis where the book begins. Sometimes the author was not able to connect certain individuals or happenings. He identifies these by using the term "excursus" on the page heading. With some persistence I was actually able to examine one of these pages and make the connections myself. If one is a Davis and your family has lived in the United States since the early 20th Century or before, there is a good chance that you will find direct line ancestors and cousins in this book.

Informative
It was nice, gave some incite, but my particular line that I have documents on wasn't much in it. There were a lot of branches covered but i felt disappointed my line was cut short.
