Dishwasher Detergent with Phosphate Dish Soap by Bright and Fresh

Cleans the dishes, no film. Keeps the dishwasher clean

This is a reasonable substitution for my beloved cascade boiler fry out dishwasher detergent. Seems to do the dishes just as well. So when they took away my cascade and made it horribly expensive, I switched to this.

Went through a bucket and noticed the same rainbow discoloration on stainless steel that I had seen with other detergents that don't contain phosphates. There's no mention of phosphate on the label and the maker's name EcoChem doesn't sound like a company that would make a phosphate detergent. I'm on a second bucket and it might be my last. I spike a 2-tablespoon dose with a rounded teaspoon of sodium tripolyphosphate (STPP). After a couple washes, the stainless steel is reverting to its original luster. I've switched to Great Value Dishwasher Pacs with a teaspoon of STPP and getting excellent results. If anyone from the seller or maker wishes to chime in, please do.

My husband was going to spend 1000 dollars to replace my disgusting 5 year old good brand dishwasher. It didn’t clean my dishes well, smelled and the strainer mesh was clogged every few days. So I researched dish detergents and came up with this. The smell is strong but clean, my dishwasher smells cleaner, dishes are clean, and the strainer does not clog up every other day. PS I used premium dishwashing detergent tabs available at grocery store when My dishwasherhad my smell and cleanliness issue.

So hard to find good dishwasher detergent. This one works great! No spots and my dishes are clean.

I have been alternating between this Bright and Fresh dishwasher detergent powder and the Amaze dishwasher tabs. Both work wonderful for those of us battling hard well water, along with the awful performance of our high efficiency, overpriced dishwashers.

I bought this after having excellent results with bubble bandit; I'm not satisfied with "bright and fresh" for a few reasons. #1 is the Chlorine smell. I'm certain it's disinfecting the dishes, but the odor comes out of the D/W and sink drain and makes 3 rooms of my home smell like Chlorine during the wash. I won't buy it again because I must run the D/W while asleep to avoid the smell. Also, it does not do as good of a job on hard water deposits where I'm finding new deposits on new glasses only washed in this. Bubblebandit has a pleasant smell. I like this pail packaging, which costs $10 extra than bags of the same weight from bubblebandit. I tried mixing 50/50 of each detergent - hard water spots are not as clean with 100% bubblebandit, and 50/50 still stinks. Next order is 2 bags of BB.

This stuff actually works, everything comes out spotless even with a fast wash setting on my dishwasher. This is a must have especially in hard water areas.
