BRIO Monorail Airport Set

This add-on set is a little pricey for what it actually delivers, but it's not bad. Complaints include not being able to expand the size of the monorail station with other Brio tracks because of the direction of some of the pieces when trying to link them; it seems as if the track is built to be self-contained, with 9 tracks total to make up the circular pathway, so the circuit the rail makes is noticeably short. Would be helpful if Brio provided a "how-to" guide or pic to show what pieces link-up with what; I had to Google a pic online to see how the model was set up, as my brain was fried from trying to put together other Brio sets well after midnight on Christmas Eve.Also recommend you purchase track clips to keep the tracks from constantly coming apart -- especially on the curves and sloped areas. Oh, and the monorail has a very weak "engine", so trying to pull anything more than the additional car and MAYBE the luggage staircase that comes with the set will cause repeated crashes and stalls that can be frustrating to little engineers (mine is 2.5), and their train-troubleshooting parent(s).

Our child LOVES airplanes and we love Brio so we splurged and bought this set. Everything is well made and as with all Brio sets they definitely paid attention to detail. My only complaint (which is a big one) is that it's pretty difficult to keep the monorail track balanced on the supports that are provided in the set. Our kid is only 2 so maybe an older child would be able to avoid bumping into the track but we constantly have to set it back up while she's playing.

My 3yo kid loves this set (along with pretty much anything from BRIO). My one complaint was that the piers holding up the monorail don't serve as a steady foundation for the tracks so they keep sliding off.

Fell apart immediately and batteries only worked for a couple of hours. My son is 4 and this seems to be created for kids who are a little older and play more gently.

Monorail cars don't run that well - have a very hard time going up and down on Brio track. Airport is nice, but comes in two pieces and falls apart easily. My sons (4 and 2.5) love trains, but this has not been a hit.

Bought for my grandson who has a ton of Brio pieces. He absolutely adored this set. Highly recommended for 3 to 4 year olds.
