Well rounded
A good book, lots of info. It wasn't exactly what I was looking for, but I'm keeping it for reference in the future!

Major Reference
This booklet is an excellent discussion of widely available plants that can be made into cordage--or, if you prefer, into rope. Details for identifying the plant, for harvesting the plant and for converting it into cordage are given, and are well illustrated. Six different plants are considered; no matter where you are in the continental United States, one or more of these should be available. This is a must for anyone learning survival techniques. When you think about it, a great deal of what is needed in a survival situation will require cordage: making shelters, suspending pots for cooking or boiling water, making traps to catch game and more. Mastery of this text will empower you to provide your own cordage, even when you have nothing else but your wits and the environment around you.

Great addition to the series!
This whole series of field guides from Creek Stewart is useful. I regularly put one or two of them in my pocket or pack when hiking or camping. Usually based on whatever skills I am trying to hone at that time or a new topic I am trying to break into. The one on knots goes with me pretty often. As does the one on shelters. Also the author has some online “at your own pace” classes on outdoorcore.com

Another winner from Creek
Creek's field guides are filled with all that you need and nothing you don't. This one is no exception. The guide is contains 6 plants and trees common to North America. He tells how to harvest the materials you need from them and how to make cordage once the materials are ready. Regardless if you are an expert cordage maker or a completely new novice, this guide will help.

Okay, needs a second version with changes
Could have been the best guide out there,if the author had cared enough to provided color photographs on plants identification and needed to label the maps of plant locations, I'm not sure what region is the location of the plants. Also needs a drawing of the process of twisting cord the photograph is badThis book has a lot going for it,I'm not saying not to buy just hoping the author will fix and make this awesome!
