These things do what they say they do - charge your phone without undue wear and strain on the device's Micro USB socket. Goldilocks magnets: The strength of the magnets will always be a compromise. Given that phones only weigh a few ounces and are often slippery as all get out, a magnet weak enough to not pull a phone off a tabletop would be so weak that the cable would fall off of its own weight. On the other hand, a magnet strong enough that you would never accidentally pop the cable off using the phone in your car would grip tightly enough to be an annoyance or potentially damage your Micro USB jack. These tread the middle ground pretty well. If I grab the phone off the nightstand, the cable drops away without yanking the phone out of my hand. But I have to be a wee bit careful in the car. Nice wire: The fabric-sheathed cable is a lot more flexible and generally nicer than the usual stiff vinyl-clad ones. Good, if unusual customer service: At first, my cables didn't work with my Samsung phone. Customer service takes place over a Facebook Messenger conversation. A nice fellow with less than perfect English answered my query in about 18 hours. There was about 12 to 18 hours between each message and its response. In the context of live chat, that's pretty poky, but in the context of email, it's blazing fast. So, a bit odd, but actually quite pleasant. Samsung issue resolved: Two of the three cables in my original order didn't work on my Samsung Galaxy S7. In the course of my conversation with customer service, the rep asked if I had tried all three cables. I hadn't. In the interest of due diligence, I tried the third cable. And it worked fine! The issue was, apparently, that when I put the adapters in the phone's Micro USB socket, I did so by just pressing the adapter in with my fingertip. Apparently, the soft pad of my fingertip didn't transmit enough pressure to seat the adapter fully in the jack. When I went back to test the remaining cable, for no conscious reason, I used the connector on the cable to push in the adapter and - voila - a working connection! Knowing this, I had no further issues on either Galaxy S7 phones or my Samsung Tab S tablet. The customer service guy said that they had encountered issues with Samsung jacks being "quite tight" before. Data transfer works fine: I haven't tested for throughput, but file transfer and Android Auto both work OK. It doesn't make any difference which side of the connector you use. (Early versions of these cables only worked with the connector in one direction, according to some Amazon listings.) The little adapter is tricky: I used a pair of needlenose pliers (my multitool, actually) to - very carefully - pull the adapter straight out of the phone. My phone case makes getting a fingernail or tool under the edge of the adapter impossible. Be careful not to break the magnet. It's pretty brittle. Yup. I broke one. Plastic-jawed needlenoses might be the way to go. (He says in hindsight.) By the time you get enough cables, you'll have a few spare adapters. You need more of these than you think: Since you can't switch back and forth in the blink of an eye with ordinary cables, you'll need one of these cables for each place you charge your phone. In my wife's and my case, for two phones, that means two nightstands, two desks, two portable battery pack chargers, and three cars, Or nine cables. Throw in a couple of tablets and you're up to a dozen or so. Be forewarned. So I'm darn glad these are priced reasonably. Just sayin'. <Oops. My biggest concern, after the cable working at all, was that it works with Android Auto. My Kenwood head unit supports audio over Bluetooth, but all Android Auto functions require a wired connection. This cable works great for that. I can also plug it into my computer and transfer files exactly the same as with a standard (non-magnetic) USB-C cable. I also appreciate that every cable comes with two connectors (a USB-C and a micro-USB), so I can use the cables interchangeably with various devices. The only complaint, and this is trivial, is that I would not mind if the magnet were stronger. In the car or in bed, it is easy to bump the cable and cause it to disconnect. I am pretty sure this is not something that can be made better, and I doubt any other cable does it better either. The connector would probably have to be larger to fit a bigger magnet, and that would not be good. Still, if you are the sort of person to wave your phone around while charging it, be prepared to be more careful. (On the flipside, the ease of disconnection is good in that it makes it nearly impossible to damage the phone or cable, and means you can "unplug" it with one hand, just pull the phone away and the connection separates.) The LED on the phone-end of the cable is great. Makes it easy to find in the dark, and gives confirmation that the cable is plugged into power. Even at nearly 3x the price I usually pay for USB-C cables, they are well worth it. In fact, I am off to buy more. (Note, as mentioned in other questions/reviews, if you have an iPhone/iPad with a Lightning connector, you need to look for the one with that connector. This is USB-C/micro-USB only.)

Great quality cables, nice durable material on the cable sheath, and the magnetic grab is stronger than you might expect. I love the idea of leaving the adapter inside devices as the most common reason I've had to replace my phone was because the USB connector was worn out or broken. The oval shape of the connector is fairly narrow and so it fits on my phone, even with a phone case which is awesome. I was worried some of the larger circular connectors wouldn't work with a case. Two problems I've run into: 1) I put the USB-C adapter in my Samsung phone, and the Micro-B adapter in my Plantronics headset, which seemed like a perfect combination for the two adapters. However everyone I spoke to on the phone then complained that my audio was terrible, breaking up, static etc. It turns out that the magnet in the adapter was negatively affecting the Plantonics blutooth headset, so I had to give up on using it for that. It works great in the phone. It might have been a better design if only the cable was magnetic and the adapter was simple steel, but instead both the adapter and the cable are magnetic (which probably yields a stronger magnetic bond) but affects electronics like headsets. 2) If you use it in the car and the magnetic cable gets dropped on the floor it can pickup tiny little magnetic rocks which then get stuck in the connector and which are then nearly impossible to remove. I was shocked that I would have magnetic rocks in the car, but sure enough super tiny dirt and grit particles on the floor mat in the car are evidently magnetic.

What a great product, fixed the loose usb issue on my samsung tablet

I was going to give this a three-star review. I was sure that the problem that I was having with it charging was that it just wasn't powerful enough for my phone. So let me go back a few days - when I first got it in it seemed to work fine. I plugged it into an power strip I have that has several plug outlets and four USB ports on the front. I plugged it into the USB port and it worked fine. Then my Samsung phone ran an Android update. As part of the update it changed some of the charging features. All of a sudden this cord and the magnet adapter would no longer charge my newer Samsung phone. It would still charge my old one plus phone, but the Samsung phone it just wouldn't charge. I did some reading online and I found that sometimes the cords have to be plugged directly into a USB adapter that goes straight into the outlet. So I pulled my couch out, moved my cords around and plugged this directly in the outlet. Ta-da! Success. It charges just fine so the issue with charging stemmed from the update plus it not being plugged directly into an outlet but rather into a power strip. Just for giggles I decided to plug it in to my computer to see if it would charge from the USB port on my computer and that also does not provide enough power to make it work. So the bottom line is it does work but only if you plug it with an adapter directly into an outlet, not into a power strip, not into a USB port onto your computer. For most Samsung phones it seems it's going to have to have a direct line into power from an outlet. Anything that diverts it from that direct channel somehow keeps it from working properly. I don't understand it but I know how to fix it. The magnet connection is strong and I love that it is oval instead of round so it doesn't distend the port openings on my cell phone cases and I don't have to cut away at them to make it fit. It's the perfect shape to neatly fit into the port openings on any case that I have, it works like a charm.

Works just as mentioned in the product description. Can now charge my phone without worrying about cords no longer working. And also charge my PS5, or XB1 controller w/o hassle. Although I was hoping it'd fit the magnetic charger piece that I have on my quest 2 headset, but that one's a different shape. But that's on me for not noticing sooner. All in all, a great product Edit: Gave it 5 stars originally, but after a while, I noticed that apparently, it's still prone to break somehow, and it stopped working. Will be looking for a different one now.

I charge my phone mostly at work and frequently connect and disconnect the cable. This saves a lot of wear and tear on the charging port which is what usually goes first on my phones. The magnet is strong enough for stationary use though it'll likely disconnect if you have your phone in your hands. Have had no issues with slow charging in 1yr+ of use. Only real problem I've had is it attracts iron particles as magnets do (you do not want to use this in a weld shop) and is a bit difficult to clean. Best method I've found is another small neodymium magnet to clean the groove and plastic or stainless steel tweezers to pluck the particles off once they've been herded into a pile. That said even when heavily contaminated it still charges reliably, which is impressive, the magnet hold is just reduced. Great product!

Me gustaron porque si estan cómodos pero la parte de la carga rápida es mentira, incluso carga mas lento, dure mas de 5 minutos en la misma carga y si hacemos cuentas, en cargar el telefono se tardaría aproximadamente 6 horas desde el 20% (Esto de un huawei mate 20)

The plug that goes into the device is slanted and looks odd. It charges fine though. One would expect better quality for the price.
