Understanding "Our Father": Biblical Reflections on the Lord's Prayer

Let me say, first of all, that I have enjoyed everything that I have ever read from Scott Hahn. The lesson I received from this book is how routine I had let the praying of the "Our Father" become for me. I never REALLY stopped and thought about what I was praying. The book breaks the prayer into its' "petitions", and give a good explanation of what we are praying for for when we say the words.Read the book....SLOW DOWN your recitation of this prayer...and ponder it's perfection!!!

the condition of the book is great its actually brand new, i thought it would come as a used one. no dog eras or folded corners. scott hahn is a great writer, this is my fourth book, havent actually read the whole book but the fragments i have read are very enlightening, i also recommend Lord have mercy, another book which he wrote on the sacrament of penance.

I appreciate the Biblical history.

Tremendous breakdown of the prayer. I bought 2 copies with one being shared with a group of people I teach in a prison ministry. They have learned much more about this prayer, its history and meaning in the time it was taught and impact on today's literature of prayer.

This is not the first book I have read by Scott Hahn. Understand the importance and beauty of this prayer that Our lord Jesus Christ has giving to us to teach us how to pray

First half of the book is clear and precise. Second half, I believe, requires some background in philosophical studies but nevertheless, excellent.

Outstanding for anyone trying to understand the "The Our Father" and why it is so important to do daily with a complete investment of heart and soul.

As usual a very good book from Scott Hahn. I have now read a few of his books. He never speaks down to you, nor writes in a condescending way. Recommended reading

I loved reading this. I got a better understanding of The Our Father Prayer. On the same thoughts I already had. It was good for me to get confirmation on that I was on the right thinking lines. Great book! I will be recommending it.
