The hair does stand out on it because its black, but that's how I am able to tell when its clean lol. also stays in place without the rug holders. really great product, especially for the price. They would come flying down my stairs try to make the turn down the hallway and go slipping and sliding on the hardwood floors and then again going into the kitchen. What made these special are they have a low clearance so my front door can open without it dragging across this carpet. So far, the slight rubber backing keeps it pretty well in place. They claim it’s machine washable however I do not believe my washing machine is large enough to accommodate an almost 10 foot runner so I really cannot comment on that. It is actually comfortable to walk on especially when you are walking barefooted on wood and LVP flooring. I purchased the brown and it is a rich, deep brown and goes very well with the flooring.
