has anyone actually measured the capacity of this battery? are they newly mfg'd? does it have any tell-tale double-layer stickers on it?

These are brand new exact replacements. I had only one bad battery and the other is for my other PS4 pro controller when its time to replace that. Obviously its better than the Sony battery that failed in mine and I have had both since the system was new.

How long does the battery need to charge when I first get it?

Mine came about half charged or so. Didn’t take long to charge maybe an hour or two. These batteries did restore a lot of life and game time to my controllers though. Had to swap out every 2 hours with 2 year old game controllers before I got these. Highly recommend.
