Works Very Well!
I purchased this cable to transfer data between a PC and a microcontroller (MCU). Specifically I want to set the real time clock on the MCU using a GUI app on the PC. The cable works very well and seems to have a high build quality. I will most likely purchase one or two more of these as my MCU projects continue to grow. Highly recommended!

Great product for anything including Raspberry Pi 5
This is an FT232RL chipped adaptor for peace of mind that it will work in any application. I use mine to connect my Apple laptop to my Raspberry Pi 5. You will need to enable the UART on the Pi, details on the internet or ChatGPT. I use the already installed app on the MacOS called 'screen'. The pin numbers and other questions again, details may be found the internet or Chat GPT. It works excellent as a console, if needed, for any headless Pi.

PC killer
While working on an audrino project my computer went dark. I initially thought I shorted something. I ripped it apart and found the PSU had died. I thought it was just a coincidence until I lent the cable during a class to see their computer immediately shutdown as soon as they plugged it in. Luckily, unlike mine, their computer turned back on. When the cable was unplugged from a computer the TX LED was flashing. This $15 cable costed me a $300.

Does what it says on the tin (Win 11 pro, putty, plug and play). individual wires are lovely for use with hardware debugging, where serial signals are picked up in random places on a board.
