Modify it first.
Works 100% after you remove the ball bearing from the device otherwise the friction is too much to turn handle accurately. The bearing is easy to remove and I just place it in with the fittings in case to save if I want to use it again. Be sure to tape the drive piece so it doesn't fall out of the socket like one did on me to be forever lost between the cylinders.

Junk.
I needed one of these to adjust the six carbs on my bike. When I looked on Amazon for a tool to do the job I only found two available. One from Motion Pro and one from Pit Posse. Except for cosmetics they looked pretty much the same, and since the one from Motion Pro cost almost twice as much I bought the one from Pit Posse. When it came in I immediately knew it was junk. The gears bound up and skipped. It was totally unusable. I immediately boxed it up and sent it back. But I still needed the tool. After reading similar reviews with the same results I ordered the expensive Motion Pro version. They may look the same but there is no comparison. The one from Motion Pro is a quality piece made much better.

Pit Posse 2821 carb adjustment tool
My new 4 star review. I revised my original review (see below), after reading another purchaser's review of this product. It has a spring loaded ball detent in the handle that can be felt (its not the gearing in the head end). For this tool to really feel precise and provide proper feedback, the ball needs to be removed. I lubed it up a little and deburred a few areas, and it spins freely and easily, as I feel it should. If I had known this prior to purchasing, I would have been far more satisfied and been able to properly use it, for my purposes imediately (after the field fix). Had this tool came with some notation regarding this field fix, if the purchaser did not need the click/detent feature, It would have received a 5 star rating hands down. My previous 2 star review: I had assumed this was a sort of precision tool, even so much as the handle having index marks. The tool is designed for precise adjustments on carb idle mixture screws; my exact reason for my purchasing it. However, the gearing is so tight (by design) and gearing so rough (click, click) that I had zero feedback with the screws I was trying adjust. You cant feel the screw bottom out and you really cant tell if you have good contact with the screw at all. For instance, you might think you twisted a perfect 2.25 turns, however 1 of those turns, the driver was not properly engaged. Since, the gearing is so rough you cant feel if you are engaged on the screw or not. I give it a A+ on the converting the input action to 90 degrees in a very tight space, and ease of use. I give it a D- on the actual feedback the user feels while using this tool; rendering this tool useless, for my needs. I improvised another method that is working satisfactorily and I actually know where I am on the adjustment (leaps and bounds beyond this specialized tool). This is a tool, that I have now used, so I do not expect to even try getting a refund, but I am definitely letting other possible buyers know, this may be a waste of money for them too. $20 would be an 'oh well it didnt work for me', but $60 is far more disappointing, for sure.

Great for hard to reach areas.
Awesome tool. Great for hard to reach areas. Works amazing! Only down side is the two gears seem like they won’t handle much torque. I use this tool to start and remove glow plugs ( 6.5L ) after the initial torque has been broke. I’m very happy with my purchase.

Quality tool at a great price for vintage motorcycle tuning
Nice tool at a great price. This pilot screw adjuster is everything one needs to adjust idle mixture on multi-cylinder motorcycles. It comes with 5 tips for various pilot screw types and the indexing makes it easy to adjust all carbs for the best idle consistency. The addition of ethanol into gasolines has made this tool necessity for do-it-yourself mechanics of vintage bikes.

Well made
I like that you can change bits to adjust different carburetors

READ ME! (pwease)
The driver bevel gears are made from what I believe is pathetic white cast iron. The mold for the gears have weak rounded corners, sloppy tolerances, and poor surface finish. I say this because either the molds are way beyond replacement or the gears were so poorly designed that they don't have the same pitch. So long story short, spend your money elsewhere, the product is unusable in any practical sense. Even if it was functional the turning mechanism is incredibly clunky and cannot be finely turned on something like a carb sync screw which requires precision. -_-

With modifications it works well
Because of poor quality design it needs modifying. To begin I loosend the twist knob and removed the ball Bearing and spring at the twist knob as its not necissary. I then sprayed some lubricant into the tube, slid the knob back onto the shaft with a piece of paper between the knob and handle to set the clearance, tightened the knob while pushing the shaft gear back toward the knob. You dont want the gears to mesh together tightly as it will turn rough and reduce feedack. The top gear that turns the screwdriver bit is only held in place by the shaft gear so when applying upward pressure on the Pilot Screw it pushes down onto the shaft gear and makes the gears mesh together roughly and reduces smooth operation. The Bit Gear needs to be held in place independant of the shaft gear. I cut a #12D Nail, bent it 90 deg and ground a dull point on the short end to fit into the bit gear so as to support the bit gear and keep it from working too tight against the shaft gear. I had to grind the nail several times to get the length just right then inserted the pointed end into the bit gear recess and used JBWeld epoxy to hold the nail in place. See photos. I know it looks bad but now it works smoothly even when putting downward pressure on the bit. Now this tool is Great for getting into those hard to reach mixture screws. Yes we shouldn't have to do this. With modification it is Not a total waste of money.
