After 20 years of struggling with setting the pool level with a brass wing nut attempting to securely clamp down on a flat section of a round rod I tried this adjustable unit. Works perfectly, quickly & easily. Sets in a few minutes and over two years passed before I touched it again while doing some pool maintenance. It’s still working great!

Installs easily. Adjusts from the top wheel. Took a minute maybe. This time I didn't bleed nor cuss the cheapie float I bought. Worth $48 with tax? Wife thinks so. Better attitude. So there is that. Would have given it 5 stars, but didn't come with a threaded nut and O ring for the male threaded end. Relies solely on plumber's tape. And the right number of install turns. Vendor spent another nickel, I tipped another star. Save the threaded nut on your old piece in case you need it.

I really wish I had known about this part years ago, I paid so much money to my water company for the stupid leaks because of all those cheap parts, I had so much anxiety about it. I can’t believe how easy was the installation, unbelievable really, adjustment took less than a minute, I could not believe how easy the whole process was. Thank you for saving money AMD make my life easier! I just love it!

This valve works well and is very easy to adjust. Bought this one over less expensive options due to the ease of adjustment. Worth the difference.

Wow!! I’ve been dealing with swamp cooler water level floats, and swimming pool water leveler floats for over 30 years and they are absolutely a nightmare trying to get them set right. Especially the ones with the notches with a wing nut. The notches aren’t usually fine enough so one notch in either direction is two much. I would usually just bend the rod that the float is attached to, which sometimes I might have to do that a dozen times over several weeks just to get it close, until now!!! Where has this thing been all of my miserable life. Ok, I’m exaggerating , but I can tell you that the anxiety I used to feel knowing I was going to have to replace a float and the turmoil I was going to go through over the span of several days adjusting and trying to get it right is now GONE!! Any of you who have ever had a swamp cooler knows how irritating it is to have your water bill go skyrocket or water running down your roof because of a float that is not adjusted correctly. It literally took me 10 minutes to replace my old pool leveler float with this one (it would have been 5 but the old one was 20 years old and the brass all but crumbled when I tried to unscrew it) and about two seconds for the first rough guess adjustment, and then 3 days later another 2 second adjustment and voila, all done. Perfect. I can honestly say that this little float gadget has improved my quality of life significantly. In fact I used to hate dealing with float levelers so bad that I literally got rid of my swamp cooler. That’s no joke. It wasn’t the only reason I got rid of it but it was definitely a contributing factor. My recommendation is if you’re reading this review then you are trying to decide. Pull the trigger, don’t hesitate, if they were charging $100 for this thing I would still HIGHLY recommend it for function and value. As far as durability, it feels at least as well built as the 20 year old one I just replaced and that’s in my salt water pool. So I feel very confident that this one could quite verily outlive me.

I consider myself very handy, I can just about always figure out how to make something work, not this thing. I played with this valve for well over an hour and no matter what I tried it didn't work. Bottom line is I will buy another one and throw this piece of junk in the trash.
