Worth the purchase
I'm very happy with the structure of the book. I've just started at page one and definitely keep looping back thru Part I. Per instructions to really grasp that section. I found this book while going down a "music theory" rabbit hole. I've been playing guitar since 1981. What I've learned was thru basically learning songs from albums. Learning the tried and true scales, licks and riffs as a Parrot basically. This year I want to understand the nuts and bolts. And this book is doing that for me. I've peeked ahead and there is some stuff in later chapters that might get tricky for a new player. But apparently the Author has some books on developing technique as well. This book, and the available audio downloads, is helping me to understand my guitar and developing concepts with modes that create moods against certain chording which is helping me as a guitarist AND as a songwriter.

excellent resource
this book is an outstanding and thorough resource for music theory relative to the guitar. I bought this book having prior music theory knowledge, but i've only started to play the guitar recently and this 3 book volume tied (is tying) things together nicely. Joseph does a great job of explaining concepts but not dragging things out. the information is very well organized which allows the user to go to different sections and keep inspired as opposed to getting bogged down by reading the book beginning to the end. i will use the authors other materials available to me as well like his website, video lessons and other books. i would like to write more, but instead i will say, buy the book and go practice, its what i'm going to do right now.

I like the simple explanations and that you can listen to ...
I'm really enjoying this book. I have done the Theory section and am currently working through the technique section. I've only gone to the scales a few times as I already knew most of the modes. I like the simple explanations and that you can listen to the examples (downloadable). I haven't found 3 note scales or some technique to improve sweeps but you can't cover everything in 1 book. Overall it's a good book and it's been giving me a workout.

These books as a whole from Fundamental Changes are easy to read, understand and to implement
But the hard part is on the reader to follow up on all the great information presented here.. I have bought so many books in the past and these books really bring it on home, at least for me.. For me they "clicked" and I have been looking at them and using them for practice, and all of a sudden a light goes on.. I am just an average guy who has been playing at the guitar for a long time.. It's finally nioce to start becoming an "independant thinker" on guitar instead of being too dependent on established licks.. Well done..

Just what I needed
Complete with everything you need to know - if you haven’t picked up theory yet it’s time to start!

Great Compilation !
Great idea to bring these three books together in one. This has helped improve my practicing habits as well as live playing. The theory section explains how the scales are constructed the way they are, so now when you learn the scales it makes much more sense and it is easier to remember how to play them. I would recommend this compilation to all guitar players, new and old.

Pricey for content
Honestly, I thought the book was highly over priced for content and the actual quality of the book. Literal news paper quality. Strongly reccomend against buying this.

Best book for self-taught
The book provides a lot of details on each concept and how to practice. Probably the best book on the market for self-taught player.

Print not as good as the Information
Good book that shares great information but after looking taking time to look through the book I feel that the printing was not as high of a standard as the information. Hard to recognise the “x” (muted string) in some of the chord box diagrams due to light printing and the paper quality is not that great. A colour version of print would have been much easier to read. Also found an incorrect chord diagram in one of the suggested chord progressions. Not a major deal but could confuse make learning harder. A bit frustrating finding these flaws as it makes you want to double check the print and information in every new piece of the book before trying to learn it.

4 Stars
Good content, good compilation.I like simplicity so being able to refer to a single book instead of a library is very usefulone minor downside is that some of the visuals (strumming charts/tabs etc) are way smaller than in other books which makes them harder to read. That's a minor gripe however, bigger visuals = higher publishing cost I'm supposing

I am happy for the purchase
I have been on and off playing music since early childhood but I am a complete beginner with guitar. Concerning theory I always had gaps in my understanding. This book is there to fill them, I am happy for the purchase. Most negative remarks refer to the printing quality. The copy I received is fine, it is just that text is set in too small fonts. Still, the point is here the content and that is excellent.

Good straight to the point book
I was sick of endless scrolling on youtube to learn music theory having a different opinions each videos. So I finally got this book and the concepts explained are clear and easy to understandable for every level. I would recommend, now i'm using that as a reference when I need some information on a specific scale or something else.

They are some of the best out there
I recently discovered these books after deciding to kick start my learning. They are some of the best out there. Theory is backed up with examples which makes advancing so much easier and enjoyable. Highly recommended.
