This unit may have had a good functioning pump, but the reservoir was loaded with dark gritty oil residue. There was no way I was going to install it and contaminate my new oil as well as the rest of the steering gear. You can see the residue on the paper towels in the photo. A look inside the reservoir with a flashlight sealed the deal. It was back in the box & on its way back. Guess I'll buy a kit and rebuild the one I took off - it was leaking around the reservoir seal but other than that functioning okay. At least it will be clean when I put it back together.

Completely remanufactured, new seals, looks and works like a new one!!! Got here quick. Very pleased all the way around.

Perfect for me

The price was better than my local auto parts store. The pump went in just as expected and it works fantastic. Its nice to be able to turn the steering wheel again without revving the engine!

The reservoir had been welded on and a bolt hole was covered. I was in need of the pump in a hurry so I decided to just use my old reservoir with this new pump. When I pulled the new{rebuilt} pump out it was filthy inside. I put the new pump in my old clean reservoir and flushed it out with a couple liters until clean fluid came out. If I wasn't pressed for time I might have returned it. It seems to be working OK but I doubt it would have ran long if I never cleaned it and may have damaged my steering box.
