Very good dry beans in a bag!
Very good and hearty flavor that’s what good beans should taste like when you soak them over nite then cook them in your meals. I haven’t tasted this type of beans in awhile. First of all it was hard to get dry beans in my local market so decided to order through Amazon and chose this brand we like everything about.

Clean
Never used dry kidney beans before. They were exceptionally clean, no dirt twigs or stones (very impressive). It took a long time to cook even after soaking for @24 hours. This might be normal, I don’t know. I will try not to use these again only because by the time they cooked they fell apart. This is probably from me doing the process incorrectly. Wish I had done more info gathering before I used them. Also- That is A Lot of beans! Wound up with a 20 gallon pot of chili.

Great product Great Price
Already cooked some and they were wonderful. Rich tender and creamy. I'm from south Louisiana and red beans are very important to us. I highly recommend this brand.

Good fresh beans in this batch
Cooked up quickly with slow boil in 45 minutes. No need soaking

Pressure cooker beans
All the beans I use are hydrated using the Pressure cooker. These Kidney beans hydrated in Chicken stock to use in Chili.

Not very fresh
A good value, but lower quality than I was expecting. After a full overnight soaking the first time I tried them, and hours of simmering in a chili, the beans were still too hard. The inside was soft enough, but they were tougher to chew than expected. The second time I tried them, I soaked them overnight, then par boiled them before they simmered in the chili. The result was almost identical. The beans appear tough and old.

Cheap way to buy kidney beans.
I manage a soup kitchen and kidney beans have got so expensive to buy in a can we decided to try cooking our own and see the cost.
